Hotel Indigo Savannah Historic District by IHG

Had a wonderful time in downtown Savannah staying at this hotel! It was close to many places and walkable. The room was perfect and the staff were helpful.

Centrally located near the riverfront and historical district. The hotel coins for complementary drink each night were a pleasant surprise. There was construction around the hotel but we didn’t hear a thing! The room was comfortable but the bathroom sink in the general room area was a minus. Staff was helpful and pleasant to interact with

The HVAC was out during our stay in the bar/restaurant area.

Such a quaint and beautiful hotel! Will definitely stay there again. Staff is wonderful!!

Cons: the room had an overwhelming smell of bleach/ cleaning products. I like a clean room but it almost made your eyes water. The floors were very slippery. Stains on the couch. Furniture needed to be wiped down better. The 2 nights we stayed there the fire alarms went off as we were getting into bed. Lots of outside/ car noise.

Rooms are a little smaller but the location makes up for it .

This really is a gorgeous property, in a perfect location! They only offer valet parking at the hotel, which is a little unfortunate, but not a deal breaker by any means. Our room was clean, but it was lacking in routine maintenance. For example, when I took the hand towel off the towel ring, the whole ring fell off the wall because it wasn't properly anchored. The walls in the bathroom behind the door were a little dirty, and there was some black gunk in a little bit of the grout in the shower, but it certainly wasn't DIRTY. There was a fire alarm during our stay, and upon check out the front desk waived some of the fees, which was very nice! Overall, it was a great experience, and the perfect pit stop on our road trip back home.

Sticker shock on charge of my credit card for incidentals $300.00 No parking only valet at $48.00 per day! Expedia does not explain this on their web site very well. I have two different receipt My expectations from Expedia also disappointing in how they represent this Hotel. Now a positive, staff was friendly through out this hotel. Maids, servers, and bartenders did make you feel welcomed. Which was a very good experience. Would I stay there again? Doubtful.

Everything was awesome

Everything was good .except there is no air vent in the room so the air conditioning, cause condensation , which cause the floors to be wet , every morning, we had to wipe them every morning with a towel. Told the receptionist, she explained that it was a known fact because of the humidity in savannah.

Great location & place to stay

Staff friendly and helpful. Didn’t get any clear feedback on the fire alarm safety issues and need to evacuate.

We had a room with two queens for four people. It was a tight fit! One bed had stained sheets. The room was very moist and the floors were sticky. We enjoyed the location.

The staff was excellent, however the hotel was not as expected and looked completely different than the listing photos. The shower was extremely dirty and the mattresses were awful. You could feel every spring. Luckily the hotel and Expedia issued a refund and we did not have to stay here. We ended up at The DeSoto and it was excellent!!! Pay the little extra and don’t stay here!

Very clean rooms! Checkin went smoothly. Staff were pleasant. Valet people were very helpful!!! We did not eat there but the dining room looked very clean. Hotel very convenient to Riverstreet!!

Horrible experience I was in my room for less than a hour and the fire alarm went off me and and family rushed out the building we came back only to find the room keys didn’t work I went to the front desk they told me I didn’t pay and I didn’t sign some document. The stay had already been charged to my card then they were like why can’t you show us you paid I was like how would I get a room key if I didn’t pay. They were not accommodating I decided to leave and spoke with the third party I booked from an and was advised I’ll be refunded. If not I’ll dispute the charge since I didn’t stay. I don’t recommend this hotel at all. I don’t recommend this hotel. I’ve edited my review as they stated it was not approved again I don’t recommend this hotel.

Too many pets which one pissed in the elevator, congested valet parking, and false alarms. Was not a good stay.
