Candlewood Suites Portland - Scarborough by IHG

So overall my experience was good but I got 2 rooms and asked them to be next to one another as we were in a group of girl scout and we were not one was in building A and the other was in Building B this was not easy for the girls as they thought they were going to be nextdoor to one another. When I ask the desk when checking in they said there was nothing they can do as they were fully booked and seemed like it was an inconvenience to look for me. The hotel was nice and clean but that was an issue for a group of young ladies.

Spacious room and clean. Kitchen was a nice bonus. I wish the property had a pool.

Definitely well used. Had some wear and tear that caused us some issues. Loud non-functional ice maker in the freezer, kind of run down bathroom. None of the TVs seem to work properly. Worst part, right next to 95 so engine breaking semis all night long.

The room was clean and ready when we got there for checking. Lots of space and it was comfortable for a weeklong stay. I enjoyed the amenities available including shampoo and conditioner and a kitchenette. It was centrally located and we were able to access everything we wanted from the hotel. Lots of places nearby that we wanted to see. Quick trip to Portland and other areas in southern maine

We stayed in unit 331. The carpets are old, dirty and have very bad smel. Bad state of carpets.

Easy to get off 95 to hotel. A lot of food choices around the hotel Shower - no pressure or flow. Refrig & AC where very loud - I turned both off

Bedroom was great size bedding was great.the pillows were my favorite part. 1 out of 4 staff I interacted with was pleasant the rest were rude, 1 was insulting. The elevator is at one end of the building, naturally our room was at the opposite, No ceiling fans in any of the rooms, one might be nice. Room Decor was great, light choices were helpful. No light in closet but ironing board. Towels were clean and white. I appreciated the dove products in refillable bottles on wall and shower. Better for the environment and less to drag around with you in your suitcase. Location is close to airport, mall, grocery stores and plenty of restaurants. You have short travel to see ocean and lighthouses.

The room was very spacious That our first room had bedbugs and my husband got bite bad and they moved our room but nothing for our trouble though

These are the best rooms. We have stayed here a couple of times, always in a two bedroom suite. This room was a little more beat up than the last time we stayed. The kitchen drawers didn’t close unless you pushed them. The dishwasher didn’t seem to work and there was a stain on the couch. But the room was very comfortable and spacious. The staff was very friendly and amazing. Will def stay here again.

Property location is great. Close enough to Portland and the mall, yet, not directly in the middle of the hustle and bustle. Room was perfect. Water pressure was great and they allowed dogs. Everything was clean, needs some updates, but definitely will be my go to hotel when I travel up there again. Which is frequently!
