Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Portland Maine Airport

Breakfast was OK for a low-end hotel. We expected a much better accommodation than we received.

We called down to let them know our tv was not working, the man on the other end of line said “uh huh” and I asked if someone could come by to fix it. He said “uh huh” but when we returned that night it was not fixed. Tried calling front desk again, no answer. Husband went downstairs and front desk guy was outside smoking. He went to the store and came back, front desk guy was still outside smoking and walked away when my husband came toward the entrance, so he didn’t ask a third time. When checking out, I let the man know that no one ever fixed the tv, he said “it was the repair guys day off but he’s coming today.” Doesn’t really help us now that we have checked out. Staff seems overworked and stretched thin.

My husband's and i stayed at the Fairfield Inn for several days and the staff were very helpful especially Kacey. Great location and convenient to the airport.

Dirty rooms. The bed was filthy and we had bugs crawling on us that looked like bed bugs when the lights went off. Hotel changed our room to then give us a “new clean room” inspected the bed and didn’t find any dirt or bug like issues but did find crushed candy in the carpet and food behind the TV.

Dirty room, cigarette smoke throughout the floor and overall a poorly kept property. Wasn’t expecting a 5 star resort, but for $300+ per night a comfortable clean hotel minimum

It's okay.

It was OK, Hotel shows signs of aging, not what we would typically see at a Marriot. Front desk staff did not stay at the desk - we arrived around 4 PM -- so we had short waits when we needed assistance, not horrible but desk should be monitored at all times. Our first room was not cleaned yet, had to return to lobby, wait for a desk clerk, and request a different room. AC worked fine. Bed was OK. Shower was OK but drained very slowly.

Fine. The AC in the room smells of mildew, but other than that a nice room

The staff at the desk as well as staff in housekeeping never acknowledged us nor said “hello”, “good after” or “good night” at any time. Most of staff were on their phones. The only person who showed interest was a gentleman who worked setting up the continental breakfast area each morning. Very nice and welcoming gentleman employee.

Staff was very friendly.

No response from the hotel after messaging that we could not travel due to illness and inquiring about a credit for our stay at the property. The message was through the Holtels.com app to the property. Don’t even bother with this feature on Hotels.com at this property - whether it is Holtels.com not following through or inattention from the property - you will be ignored!

The hotel overall was great. They have a nice breakfast bar every morning. The room was nice and clean. I would definitely stay there again.

Everything is good

The overall stay was fine staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean along with building and grounds. Only grip and it's a small one is for dinner meal options in the freezer, there were no vegan or vegetarian options available. I do realize the possibility they may have already been taken when I got there.

I think it’s what you would expect from a 2 star hotel. Small, dated rooms that could use a deep clean. Staff and breakfast was good.

close to airport, city of Portland and major highway

It’s a nice and economic option without missing any frills.

The staff were very nice and accommodating.
