Restaurant staff was terrible. Front desk staff was not focused on solutions.
-
All the staff were extremely helpful. Front desk, breakfast room staff as well as front door staff.

In addition to the lovely room and helpful staff, having the cafe open early on Sunday before our departure (when their normal Sunday breakfast is really brunch starting at 9 in the restaurant) was very helpful - the quiche and espresso beverages were delicious and a great start before heading home. Wonderful location as well - walking distance to everything we had planned for our Seattle trip.

Gorgeous hotel in pioneer square! Perfect location close to Limen Field and Chinatown/international district. Also close to Amtrak and the Light Rail. Hotel restaurant has amazing food! The complementary drink from the cafe was a great bonus! The Library area was lovely place to relax at the end of the day. We didn’t use the music room, but it seems like a fantastic addition! Rooms were very clean and cozy! Would highly recommend Populus to anyone considering staying there!

Exceptional

I absolutely loved our stay at the Populus Hotel Seattle! The location couldn't have been better—we were able to walk to Lumen Field for a concert, and it was just as easy to stroll to downtown and Pike Place Market. The hotel somehow manages to feel vibrant, luxurious, and cozy all at the same time! The rooms are beautifully designed, spotless, and so comfortable, and the bathrooms were impeccably clean. It also seems like the hotel is very art-forward and environmentally conscious, which is very remarkable. I also loved the hotel's library - a perfect little quiet space to relax with a good book for sure. We weren’t able to try the bar, but it is on the same space as the café, which had a lively vibe and really good coffee. It really felt like there was a space for every mood. Populus is definitely one of the most beautiful hotels that we’ve stayed at. Between the amazing location, wonderful staff, beautiful design, exceptional cleanliness, and welcoming atmosphere, I'd stay here again in a heartbeat and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Seattle.

Fantastic location and beautiful, modern rooms!! The restaurant is also delicious!
-
Really cool new hotel. Loved the plants and sustainability

I felt excluded from the roof top bar. It seemed exclusive, even though we had paid to be at the Populus.
-
Beautiful hotel, staff were fantastic … beautiful rooftop bar with great drinks and very fun atmosphere! We will definitely be back!
-
Delightful staff, wonderful amenities and items for purchase to drink and nibble, with the most comfortable bed we have slept in, made this one night stay a wish for lingering!
-
Beautiful hotel, my only negative comment would be that the front desk should greet you when you step out of the elevators which is directly across from them instead of looking down and ignoring you
-
Nice welcoming place to stay in Seattle, close to attractions and great restaurants. Rooms clean, staff helpful. Ask for a room with a view, not the inside of the building. Bathroom has no hooks to hang anything. Bar upstairs pricey.

The room wasn’t clean. There was a smell of mildew.

Great stay

Loved the hotel. The location was great. My wife and I attended the Mariners game that night so the proximity to the stadium was perfect. We will definitely stay again.

The hotel couldn’t have been in a better location. The rooftop bar was awesome!!!

Had a brief but wonderful stay at Populus. Steps (or a 15min walk) away from all the great Seattle spots. The property is gorgeous and Zen-like with plants everywhere (watch out for the mosquitoes) and a beautiful library, music room, restaurant, cafe, rooftop—the whole property is impressive. Gorgeous detail in buildout, artwork, and furnishings, modern and clean but not cold at all. Outdoor elements meet a plush hug. Loved our suite with large bathroom (mild-pressured shower and no hook in the water closet for my robe were the only dings), high ceilings, wood beams and decor, and super comfortable bed, along with a clever nook near the window, all surrounded by trees. The little porcelain dish and intimate touches here and there felt personal and boutique. Lovely. Even appreciated the inlaid carpeting in the halls. Noise control and comfort! Brunch was delicious at Salt Harvest, rooftop at Firn was very busy (perhaps a glitch here in service as a result) but lively with great drinks. Don’t expect a bellman as you’re coming in, though seems like that’d be standard for the level of detail everywhere else. But we bussed our bags with a trolley and it wasn’t a deal breaker. Wish we had more time in this beautiful escape. Staff was very friendly, texted recommendations à la butler concierge service which was cool. Overall, an amazing and memorable stay, will definitely return to this relaxing retreat!!
