We tried to check in we had a room booked. But they canceled the room. They how ever did not cancel our credit card. I can't recommend this hotel.

I booked my room about 4-6 weeks in advance through Bookings.com. As we were getting onto the highway to drive the hour to the hotel I went to "check-in early" using the link that I was sent via text. When I opened the link that's when I saw the cancelation notice. I then went to check my emails and saw that 6 hours before we were supposed to check-in I had an email notification that our booking was canceled. No call or text message, when I opted for those additional contact methods. I then had to scramble to find a new hotel for us for the weekend since we had a music festival we were attending in DC. This was a huge inconvenience and I am very disappointed with the lack of communication from Holiday Inn's internal staff. As someone who works in customer management, you CANNOT rely on a software to do your job for you. This is a prime example of what not to do when using external programs for your company. You DO NOT rely on other programs as your sole source of customer communication.

Chain brand services are relatively standardized. The procedure was not standardized. When checking out, the information was not entered. They mistook my departure time, which led to a series of misunderstandings and overcharging. (I know you insist that you did not receive the change notification for the booking, but you still bear certain responsibilities, such as not confirming the departure time.)

The breakfast was very generous with a wide variety of food and drinks and the staff were always cheerful and friendly The cards for opening the room never worked and had to be swiped either up or down or on one occasion didn’t work at all
-
Breakfast was good. Room was good and clean. One of the agents and manager was impolite and unhelpful.

-
Nothing A man sat outside my room door all night that did not work for the hotel. And the hotel staff did nothing about it
-
Customer Service Representative at front desk very slow, she was unhelpful, uninformed, and rude. I would never stay here again.
-
The staff specially, Aron and Alexeis are the company's biggest asset.

Parking Breakfast

Close to amenities Had to pay to park and have never had to do that at any Holiday Inn Express

Staff were very nice. They are improving the rooms, stairs, and other areas. Currently, there is some kind of odor to construction materials and paint but just in the hallway of 4th floor. Very centric place. Elevators are very slow and tiny. In peak times you will have to wait few minutes. Is not a place for "desperate" people whom get angry waiting. It is a nice place if you want to relax and take the time in a chill mode -not in a hurry. Breakfast buffet is a plus. Limited parking available for an extra daily fee. Magnetic keys need to be replaced, stop working constantly. I think all places have pro and cons. The current cons are temporary and they are taking action to solve them. I will definitely stay again in the near future.
