The first room we were in as soon as we walked up to the door it smelt bad. We opened the door and it smelled like rotten meat. It made my stomach turn. They did give us a new room. They landy at the front desk was really nice about it. The smell was so strong I could smell it walking to the room down the hall. I dont know how no one did not notice. Still makes my stomach turn.

Staff was amazing I would stay there again

The staff were very friendly and helpful with explaining events going on in the area! The hotel was clean, but definitely showing age. Great location, and the pool and hot tub were great

Staff was very helpful at recommending nearby dining choices

The desk clerk that checked us in was very nice and inviting. My family and I will be staying there again.

The staff treated us wonderfully and were always friendly.

The room was clean and spacious.

Onsite restaurant was delicious, would go again. We did not use the pool although it looked nice. The riverwalk to the falls was lovely, clean and beautiful. Breakfast was good too. Room was comfy and quiet.
-
We stay here because we like to walk around downtown and to The Falls. Most reasonable price for a downtown hotel. The restaurant is good and we love to sit outside along the river.

TV did not work well.

Great experience! Check-in quick & easy& front desk staff could not have been more responsive and pleasant. Requested additional pillows and she immediately got them with a smile! Everything was clean and room was extremely spacious and comfortable. The staff at the hot breakfast was friendly, helpful and made everyone feel welcome. She made sure everything was kept filled, hot and area clean. Location was great, walked right out the door to the Riverwalk and down to the falls.

The staff were lovely. The lady who checked me in (I’m sorry, I don’t remember her name) was such a delight and a much needed friendly face after a long day. The room, however, was a different story. There were gross stains on the pillowcases and sheets and the shower had mold on the curtain. There was ickiness (putting it politely) on the toilet seat and the bathroom reeked of mold. It was late so I threw down a tshirt on the pillow, skipped the moldy shower, and went to bed.

The staff was amazing! Short walk to the falls and restaurants.

The negative aspects are limited onsite parking- we had to park at an adjacent lot which wasn’t a huge problem but wasn’t made clear at registration. The hotel appeared adequately staffed but every time we needed to approach the front desk we had to ring a bell and wait. Daily housekeeping was included but we did not have it offered- they did stop by with more bath towels. The elevator is very slow, we opted to take the stairs due to long wait times. The bathroom was not very clean in our room- there was hair in the shower and under the vanity when we arrived. Lastly, the walls are very thin. We could hear every door close, anyone walking above and below us, and outside as well. The onsite restaurant was not open all weekend so I was unable to give feedback. The menu looked great and we would have liked to try it. Overall, there were minor inconveniences- I would stay here again but I was holding a higher standard based on previous experiences with this hotel chain.

The restaurant, the bed Staff ignored me until I stood there for 5 minutes, then acted like I was interrupting their computer session. Believe me, if I could check in without them, I would! The parking was difficult, the bathroom had mold or rust on a couple of surfaces. The elevator was ancient, slow.

The front desk person wasn't very personable, maybe she was busy with other stuff. When I asked what sort of places to eat were nearby, she just pointed me to the in-hotel restaurant and offered no other suggestions. Fortunately, I found the Phillips Avenue Grill, where I'd eaten when I was here before, was still in business. It was completely satisfactory this time too. Lots of other dining options along Phillips Ave; it's a short walk to the west of the hotel. Room was very comfortable, and even though I heard a train whistle a couple times, didn't keep me up. Breakfast was also good, and the person who set it up was very friendly. Checking out the next morning, I experienced the same sort of indifferent attitude from the morning person at the front desk. She didn't say two words, just handed me a receipt. Much younger person than the one from the night before, maybe her daughter? Overall, I was satisfied with my stay and would stay here again. In addition, if you're up for a short walk, head north along the path along the river and you'll come to the actual Sioux Falls. Very scenic!

Room is nice and clean. The lady who checked us in was kind of stern and not so welcoming. But the other staff(sorry did not get her name) was very helpful and accommodating. Parking was a challenge, parking lot was small and lucky if you find a spot.

The room although clean had many items that could have used attention. Bubbling plaster on the ceiling in the bathroom, loose tub fixtures, etc just look old and poorly repaired. Bed was not at all comfortable. Rolled to the middle of the mattress.
