Best Western Plus South Holland/Chicago Southland

The pictures and reviews and listing on expedia did not meet my expectations of this hotel. I wonder if the pictures have been touched up by AI? The pool and hot tub were both shut down. The hallways and common areas were very visibly dirty and smelled. E-xpedia will not allow me to write our full experience on this platform. Read between the lines if you can. Our beds were clean. Parts of the bathroom had been cleaned but not vertical surfaces. Breakfast was not as substantial as other Best Western hotels.

Beverages too expensive Bedding could have been cleaner Room could have been cleaner Refrigerator went out on us and leaked water on the floor. Water pressure in bathroom sink was very low and annoying

The room was clean. Bed was not the best. Made alot if noise and mattress moved around alot

The room was very basic. The beds and sheets were comfortable. The bathroom was clean and toiletries were present. The closet has no doors (lol). Sounds from outside can be disturbing. Lobby smell like air fresheners instead of smelling clean.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay.

Hotel is old and not maintained very well. Shoes stuck to the floor in room, trim missing, holes in walls that had terrible patch jobs done on them, fridge wasn’t cleaned, room definitely needs a good cleaning. For the price you’d definitely expect something a little better.

Larger sized room was nice, bed was very comfortable. Room was quiet, couldn’t hear any outside noise.

They canceled my stay and tried to charge my card before i even checked in, which is very odd. I’m suppose to pay at property. And then didn’t notify me about it. I will be reporting to corporate.

Perfect location to get to the highway quickly. The rooms are paperthin. You can hear the room next to you for sure.

There was nobody at the front desk when we checked in and checked out. I have never stayed at a hotel where this was an issue. We had to wait the longest time to get checked in at 8:45/9:00 pm, which is a common time to check in. Mind you, we stayed on hold for over 15 min on the way there, but finally gave up on hold. It smelled so strongly of pot every morning and night in the lobby and out front. We can't figure out how this place had great reviews!

The atmosphere was peaceful, the amenities were great, and every interaction with the staff was pleasant and professional. It truly felt like a home away from home. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and welcoming place to stay. Thank you for making my weekend so enjoyable—I can’t wait to come back!
