Close to downtown walking distance

The old school taste to the property keeps it conventional & for a great price.staff was very helpful with my booking. Close to all restaurants walking distance. Beautiful scenery. I would say give this place a try. Thanks trailhead for the clean room an appreciate the helpful staff for my after hours arrival

The room is in need of an update. The carpet was visibly decades old. The air conditioner cycled every few minutes and was loud. The location is great, easy to walk most places. Its fine for a night, wouldn't stay longer.

Took half hour to check in. They didn’t recognize my two night reservation. I had to go get my confirmation to prove it. Charged me $116 for one night; cancelled that. Then charged the $188 for two nights. Lots of confusion. And aggravation after a tough day of travel. Room 121 had no chair so I brought one in from outside. Pool was inoperable looks like for ten years. Giant crater pot hole at beginning of driveway and 50. Dangerous on motorcycle. Place has seen better days. Looks like the place has residents. All kinds of skinny people walking around really slowly.

Could not sleep due to air conditioner sounding like a diesel truck all night

I liked the location. Just a short walk from heavenly. I liked how affordable it was too. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for, so I knew exactly what to expect. But The Trailhead surprisingly exceeded my expectations with its cleanliness and down to earth professionalism. Great place. I likely will stay again. Frankly im easily impressed, so I will be leaving this box empty (aside from this message)

I had to make an expensive late night reservation at another hotel, where the service was miles ahead. Avoid if possible.

The Trailhead Hotel is a great option when you need a place to stay at the last minute. During busy times in Lake Tahoe, when hotel prices skyrocket or everything else is booked, this hotel is usually available and gets the job done. It’s not meant to be a luxury resort or a place for an extended vacation, but it’s perfect if you just need a clean, convenient place to spend the night. If you’re looking for a last-minute stay without breaking the bank, I’d definitely recommend it. The only thing I would improve is the mattresses. They could be a little softer, especially for guests staying more than one night. Other than that, the property was a great option for a convenient overnight stay.

Clean room great staff plenty of parking love that it’s dog friendly

It was a nice place to stay for 2 nights, being busy both days and basically just sleeping there. Walking distance to the Edgewood Golf Course, which is why I was in town
-
Smelled of smoke even in a non smoking room Had a bunch of baby mosquitoes dead and alive in the bathroom area.
-
The only positive note is that the staff members were friendly.
-
Great location and staff helpful. Walking distance to stateline. Reasonable rates
-
Great location walking distance to dinning. The outside of property is a bit ruff looking. No problems so, for the price not bad.
-
Large clean room. Good showers. I had no interaction with staff, so nothing bad or good to say about that. It’s an older lodge, so don’t expect newer accommodations. Is in a great location to walk & shop or eat.

With all the money you guys want to charge for staying the night you would want to have clean respectable rooms and customer service. We work on the roads around you and work night shift

Horrible place to stay at. Looks like it’s family owned but the office/check in desk is nasty and dirty. They keep a dog there as well. The staff who checked me in was extremely unhelpful. The checkout staff was a little better. The place stinks though and looks like people live in some of these rooms. One room had 2 cats some cars that did not move. Looked like apartments more than a hotel/lodging. Raccoons came because of all the mess due to people who live there. 100% do not recommend staying here at all. Save your money and your well being. Bunch of crackheads I think.

The jacuzzi had some issues. We had to wait to fill it because the got water ran out. Also, the air from the jets smelled bad.

Consider no internet. No antenna and when it does connect, it is so slow it doesn’t even load a page. No coffee maker in the room. Ok clean but the old look will throw you off. Staff were nice.
