Sleep Inn Spartanburg Southwest

All of a sudden a room was ready. Well the room was not ready, floors were filthy, we had to call someone to fix the lights and TV did not work. We were too tired to worry with the TV at this point. We will definitely NOT be booking at this location in the future. Area is also extremely sketchy.

Room was ok but because of cheep price the 3rd floor reeked of pot smell.

Desk clerk couldn’t be found for 10 minutes and then walked in with takeout food.

Free parking

It was clean and descent. No pool. It was good for what I needed at the time.

Awful experience

Dirty beds had to get new linen and new towels and rags because everything was stained or had hair on them

The bed makes a tin can sound every time you moved in it. No maid service to even empty the garbage. No Kleenex in the room or extra toilet paper. Even found a bottle cap under an item from the previous guest.

These conditions are unacceptable and do not meet basic cleanliness standards. I have attached photos documenting these issues. I also worked through Hotels to attempt to get a refund, but they and I have been unable to get a hold of someone. I expected a clean, safe room but instead had an experience that left us extremely uncomfortable. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and that the property is inspected to prevent future guests from experiencing the same conditions. I would appreciate a response regarding how this matter will be addressed.

Room was decent for a nights stay, the shower leaked terribly therefore it was a rather large puddle on the floor outside the shower but the bed was comfortable!!

Very clean and attractive hotel. Genuinely lovely ladies working the front desk. Breakfast was very good as well. I would recommend for a peaceful night!

The place you're getting, you get what you paid for. The room is OKAY at best. The room itself wasn't the cleanest. There were hairs embedded in the comforter, which was gross. The panels of the base boards and grout on the floor was gross. The bed creaked when you got on it, like you were flattening an aluminum foil tin tray you're going to make the turkey dinner in. The freezer box was frozen over, and people had left food inside of it, so it was not actually checked. The microwave inside of it was also gross, needed a wipedown. Staff just sat at the front desk on their phone, and the next day a lady was having a full on conversation in Spanish on her airpod when checking out, which was really rude.

The first room we were

Upon arrival the front desk staff barely spoke English. We stayed for 3 nights, and every single day, we left the motel and when we returned and waited for the elevator and went to the third floor and walked down the hall to our room, our room key didn't work. This was very inconvenient. We have never had this happen in the past at Choice Hotels. We never had our garbage emptied or any room service, of any type during our entire stay. Never came to our room, offered clean towels, nothing. When we asked the front desk staff for plastic forks, as we had purchased some fruit for our room, they acted like it was an imposition. Also, 6 of the electrical outlets did not work. The refrigerator was off when we arrived, and had defrosted, so there was water laying in the freezer part, this was due to the electrical outlet not working. Also, couldn't operate the coffee pot, as the electrical outlet didn't work, sent maintenance, he brought a new machine and discovered the outlets didn't work, so solution was to move the pot over the sink to use it. Are you kidding me? We will not stay here again. I would give them an overall rating of between 2 to 3 stars.

The property is older and run down. Bathroom was very poor, shower was not that cleanse and caulking was rusty looking. Trying to check inn the desk clerk was more concerned with talking to someone on the phone about his car getting repaired. I would not recommend anyone staying there and certainly would not stay the.

I stayed for 4 days 5/20-5/24. Upon arrival, my sheets were dirty, as well as the countertops, windows and shower floor. I asked for a new room and was unable to switch due to being “overbooked”. The ice machine on the 2nd floor did not work so I had to keep doing to the lobby for ice. EVERY SINGLE DAY my key card would stop working and I would have to go downstairs to reactivate it (and no it was no where near my phone to deactivate itself). The continental breakfast was not so continental..half cooked sausages and stale muffins. No complimentary waters in the rooms, although it is nice to have a mini fridge in the room. The mattress was very uncomfortable. I can feel every spring in my back and the frame of the bed in hallow and very noisy. I had to get an extra comforter just to add some extra comfort. Overall not a bad sleep for maybe a night or two but I wouldn’t do anything longer than that!

It was a peaceful stay. A housekeeper helped me understand how to get more towels.

We were charged an extra 90 dollars. Customer service is terrible and not friendly at all
