Hampton Inn Spearfish

Very musty/mold smelling when you walk in. Dry urine all over the wall behind the toilet and around the bolts of the toilet in our room. 2nd floor ceiling tile covered in mold. Rooms didn't smell as bad as the main lobby or halls. Staff quickly cleaned the urine once notified. Pool was cold and hot tub wasn't working. I think the smell was the biggest issue being someone sensitive to mold.

Had a great stay there. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Room was big and clean. The housekeeping service was on point daily. Nice breakfast daily and coffee was available all day.

Our room was clean, quiet and the beds were comfortable. The TV was working then it wasn't, we had to tell the front desk that the remote would not communicate with the TV, after most of the day it was fixed. The in room coffee maker lid was broken. The bathroom faucet sprayed water all over, the tub did not drain properly and the tub /shower area should be redone. The continental hot breakfast was cold, The Oat meal was cold and runny. The coffee in the room and the lobby had very little flavor, if any.

Location was prime for our needs. Gym has Apple Fitness/Health-compatible equipment. Second stay within a week. Second room was in better condition than the first one. Just felt like consistency was a struggle within the facility. Bedding was the concern. There were holes in some of it and some stains were visible.

Location was prime for our needs. Something was off with their overall performance as a Hampton Inn. They are renovating their facility, but the improvements didn’t feel unified.

The staff were very polite, even recommended a local eatery for dinner (which was delicious). This was by far the best night sleep I'd gotten so far on our vacation!

Room door to the hallway had a vertical gap and lots of light/noise from the hallway could be heard if present. Pool heater was out, water was very cold. Hot tub pump was out so no bubbles. Breakfast was edible but not very good. Staff only handled requests if you were standing at the front desk. Phone calls would be looked at but never happened.

Everything was great. Quick check-in, helpful staff, very clean, and comfortable beds. We would definitely stay here again!

There were bags of dog crap by the Front side entry. When we first arrived the staff wasn’t at the desk and when she did come out she want friendly, just bothered. The pool was broken and that was the main reason we booked that hotel.

Pool and Hot Tub did not work.

It’s easy on/off from the freeway. The beds were very comfortable (probably the best I’ve experienced in a hotel). This is the 3rd hotel we have been to this summer where the pool was down for repairs. The kids were pretty disappointed. This was a little disappointing after spending almost $300 on a room. We did find a pill on the floor in our room which is a little scary with small children.

Beds were clean and comfortable. The bathroom was n very clean and the soap containers were easy to use in the shower and sink. The pool very cold. The hot continental breakfast was completely cold on Saturday morning. But Fridays breakfast was tasty and warm.

The hotel is great! Very clean, good breakfast, tons of parking. Our only concern was that you can't make a left out of their parking lot which is fairly inconvenient but nothing the hotel can do about it.

It was clean and located in a decent spot but it felt like we were an inconvenience when we checked in and were a little afraid to talk at all in case we made it worse.

Did not use the amenities that is way the score

The room that we reserved and paid for was not the room we received. The front desk stated they we overbooked and there was nothing they could do about it. There is another hotel in basically the same parking lot, stay there instead

Super clean and nice staff. We are repeat customers. Recommend to others looking for fresh updated property
