Great breakfast Helpful staff

For example, we had a “non-smoking” room, but the hallway and interior of the room still smelt of stale cigarette smoke. There were also odd sticky patches in the carpet near the bed, and the curtains barely blocked out and light from the outside. If you’re passing through for a night, you’ll be fine. If however you're hoping that this “boutique” is cute and great for a relaxing stay with your spouse, well, you will find that calling this hotel a boutique is more like putting lipstick on a pig.

Staff didn't know what was going to be offered for breakfast the next morning. No pets allowed in rooms, but homeless people with multiple dogs were allowed to camp out in the lobby for extended periods. Was advised not to use the underground parking because it isn't monitored. When I asked what that meant, I was told it would be best to park in the lot outside the front door. GM was occupying two spaces, but we were able to find a spot. We were advised not to leave the property after dark. But your car will be OK, just not in the underground lot. Room smelled of curry, but not bad. Ignore what staff says about using the thermostat on the wall — it does nothing. Use controls on AC/heat unit. Weird, small toilet seat that doesn't work well for adults. Recently remodeled, so furniture, carpet, and fixtures were in good shape. We survived just fine but won't be back.

Property smelled, but room smell was ok. Neighborhood was pretty rough with lots of homeless around. Many rooms available but charged extra for us to check in a little early, which was disappointing. Also booked a suite and got there and it was not available so got moved to a room with two queens.

In a bad part of town surrounded by homeless people. I tried to get a refund within an hour of booking and Expedia refused. I am very displeased with both

Since staying overnight without power was not a reasonable option, we asked whether the hotel could arrange alternative accommodations for us. Instead of offering any assistance or taking responsibility, we were simply told to contact Expedia and find a solution through them. We immediately contacted Expedia and escalated the issue. We are still waiting for a resolution. If the hotel was aware of a scheduled power outage in advance, guests should have been notified before arrival so they could make other arrangements. At the very least, the hotel should have helped affected guests find alternative accommodations. The lack of communication, planning, and customer service turned what should have been a simple overnight stay into a very frustrating experience.

Warning: This hotel slapped the word “boutique” on it to make it seem “cutesy”. It IS NOT!! This is in a highly questionable neighborhood with homeless people around the parking lot. The parking lot is also very small! We did not feel safe here and left. Staff was friendly, but I would not stay here with kids or if you are worried about car break ins.

Great staff, went out of their way to help me. Beds are really comfy and rooms were clean with nice amount of space. For the price probably better than anywhere else!

Overall, would not book again, it was a last minute one night stay for us.

Hotel staff were helpful and somewhat friendly. It was nice that they had someone at the front desk 24 hours. Bathroom was a bit cramped. Pillows were too small. The room had updated amenities but cold have used a new paint job. The breakfast buffet wasn't too bad, they had bagels, toast, cereal, oatmeal, make your own waffles, juice, coffee. The trash from the previous morning was still full which was kind of gross but it wasn't overflowing. They wiped down the tables and chairs after breakfast was over. A lot of the amenities still had the name of the previous hotel on it. Towels weren't the cleanest, one of my bath towels had a weird black stain on it. Location was convenient, only a 10 minute walk to the riverfront mall. Didn't notice anyone loitering in the lobby or parking lot. I felt secure. No bed bugs either which is great. Hotel is on a busy street, I could hear everything from my hotel room. Cars playing loud music, ambulances. However, I would stay here again. You get what you pay for, this isn't a 5 star hotel obviously but it was a nice enough stay for a few nights. I would recommend staying here if you are on a budget.

When I called the next day to discuss the situation, the front desk staff was very kind. However, the General Manager refused to offer any discount or other accommodation. It was an incredibly disappointing experience. Although I did not ultimately stay at the hotel, the way the situation was handled was enough for me not to recommend it.

Short notice cancelled due to wildfire smoke. - hazardous AQI

The review is more about circumstances than quality. First it took 2 hours to check in due to a computer glitch. They are in the middle of a manager turnover and there was a scheduled power outage notification that was scheduled with the previous manager and the new one had no idea. This left the entire hotel without power for 12 hours, overnight. I called to get a refund and the cs agent gave me a runaround saying they would credit my account 40$ and try and see about a full refund. We will have to see
