Centennial Hotel Spokane

The staff was helpful and attentive even with the wildfires going on in the Spokane area. I believe some evacuees were also accommodated at the hotel. Hope no lives were lost. Will definitely book another stay in the future.

The room was kind of clean but wreaked of cigarette smoke. There weren’t any plugs in easily accessible for my husbands cpap either. One night there was a drunk guest yelling in the hallway next to our room for hours. Called down to the front desk twice and they didn’t do anything about it. It was a pretty disappointing stay.

Well, this is an interesting one. I came to Spokane and stayed at the Centennial as a recommendation for my sister. I came to see a concert when I arrived was just when Spokane residence were getting evacuated from the fires so I think I saw the staff at their most stressed out moments and I was very impressed how respectful they were and how they remain professional

Pool was AMAZING. Perfect temperature in June. Room only had 2 towels for 3 people staying for 3 nights, only provided 2 coffee pods and staff was upset when I asked for more. This hotel is 100% worth it for their outdoor heated pool though.

The Ridiculous Timeline & Lack of Amenities: The check-in policy makes no sense for travelers. You can’t check in until 4:00 PM, but checkout is at 11:00 AM. If you're traveling for entertainment like a concert or event, the timeline is a trap: Check-in is at 4:00 PM, and the concert starts at 5:00 PM. By the time you get back to the hotel around 10:00 or 11:00 PM, the pool is already closed (closes at 10 PM) and the restaurant is closing (closes at 11 PM). Breakfast isn't even free. For $300, you are quite literally paying for just a bed—and a dirty one at that. As someone who works professionally in the cleaning industry, I was appalled by the housekeeping standards. The room was thoroughly neglected—there was grime and soap scum on the shower glass, dirt around the sink and tub drains, water rings on the nightstands, smudged mirrors, dirty toilet seat hinges, and stained linens. To top it off, check-in was complete chaos, with dogs actively fighting and barking in the lobby while staff did nothing. This stay ruined what was supposed to be a special birthday celebration. Completely overpriced, poorly managed, and filthy. Look elsewhere!

My boyfriend and I stat at this property pretty frequently when we go to Spokane because the location is amazing for downtown activities, the price range is middle of the road, and sometimes you can get a pretty nice stay! This stay was not one of our best, mostly because the room we were in honestly needed a good deep cleaning. There was what we hope was an old grape under one of the end tables (we found it when we dropped something), the floor in the shower & bathroom in general didn't look very clean, around the mirror had drips of something around it, etc. The room just felt "icky." We stayed two nights, and on the morning of when we were to leave, we called every number available in the hotel to try and not a single employee answered. Luckily, someone cleaning rooms happened to appear on our floor shortly after I checked the hallway and we were able to get some. As I mentioned in a previous review, this hotel has gotten pretty stingy with what they put in their rooms. Literally exactly two of each towel, and that is it. I am sure we'll stay at this hotel again, as I mentioned the location is great. I just hope we get one of our better stays next time.

Had an overnight stay as part of a longer drive. Good location and reasonable rates.

Very friendly environment and the staff were welcoming.

There were bugs in the bed and my boyfriend and I woke up with bug bites all over us. We saw a few ants and one spider. We did not see bed bugs but we are skeptical that there wasn't any. The bites aligned with bed bugs. Beware

Love the bar and patio

One of the fanciest hotels, kiddos mind was blown with the glass elevators, prefect downtown area. We woke up early and had time to check out 3 parks within the 10 min walk. Wonderful parks in the area, right next to the river and falls, pool that is at a comfortable temperature and the staff was one of the most polite. 10/10 would stay again!

Nice hotel with private parking. Easy walk to the concert venue.

Clean, comfortable, and friendly, efficient staff. Beds are so nice! It was definitely luxurious for me. I booked early so the price was reasonable. I'd absolutely stay there again.

There was a wildfire that kicked off in the northern valley of spokane the day of however, the hotel was not near any evacuation zone. We were never given an answer as to why they just straight up canceled 3rd party reservations all we were given was a phone number that went nowhere after over an hour on the phone. Got in touch with general Expedia support and they tried contacting the property to get an answer as to why they canceled and to no avail on 2 separate occasions. We were all kicked to the curb with no where to go and all hotels all the way to Idaho were fully booked due to the people that had to evacuate due to the fire. We had our reservations wayyyyy ahead of time and were kicked to the curb for no damn reason. Nothing to help make us whole, just gave a phone number. We will never be back, by far the worst hotel experience ive ever had. Be aware, they can just cancel your reservation at will for absolutely no reason. Hotel staff were no help whatsoever

I loved everything about this place except for checkout time. There was a lady that was very unprofessional and rude on August 2nd. 2026. Other than that everybody was super friendly everywhere in the hotel. The pool was beautiful and not full of heavy chlorine, nice towels available to use for poolside. Great restaurant.. food and drinks we're excellent. There was also complimentary water in our room as well as on side of restaurant. Here was a nice coffee shop with affordable breakfast options. Service was was great, friendly staff. The place is a little bit of a maze, so only thing I would change is having some better signs directing people where to go. It's also a little confusing that the lobby is also labeled second floor and the first floor which is actually kind of considered basement is floor one. I highly recommend this place. It is close to to everything, and walkable.

It was very handy having a restaurant and a coffee shop inside. The gym was great.

The pool

The pool is excellent and the major reason we have regularly stayed there because we have kids. Shower the last time we stayed the house keeping was clearly lacking. A dog turd in the stairwell the entire week we stayed, garbage in another for 5 days, beds never made once, linens never changed. Products in the bathroom were definitely not L’Occitane despite being L’Occitane bottles. I messaged the hotel and never received a response regarding my concerns. This stay we had paid for our room in full on April 3rd through Expedia. When we went to check in the front desk agent said we have your room but it’s not ready and was suddenly interrupted by another front desk person who said Expedia rooms were oversold and we didn’t have a room. Given the wildfire situation in the Spokane area this left us in a bad situation. I spent 3 hours on the phone with Expedia to never get any sort of help nor relocation. Gave up, my husband went to the front desk about 3 hours later and asked if we could sleep in the parking lot. At this time they suddenly had a room available and we could check in. This room actually had L’Occitane products in the bathroom which was the only redeemable part of the stay. We checked out a full day early and got a checkout reminder message the day of. There is a clean management, staffing or training issue at this hotel. This is the last time we will be staying there.

Poor check in process and air conditioning does not get below 72 degrees no matter how low you drop the temp. Took 1 hour to check in, and the front desk manager was unable to do anything about it. Front desk manager does not understand the value of the customer.
