Ruby River Hotel Downtown Spokane

The pools and amenities were amazing! And, being right on the Centennial Trail and close to Riverpark was perfect. The rooms were a little basic. The mattress and pillow seemed old.

location is unbeatable. The restaurant/bar has a fabulous abience if the weather is clement, and the food prices reasonable. But the staff was spotty; one waiter actually turned his back and walked away while I was speaking, and both the hostesses I encountered were downright rude. The food was edible but not great, but the bar made excellent drinks. Mimimal room. The shower had no grab bar and no rubber mat to prevent slipping, which I did and bashed my knee pretty well. The glasses were plastic, there was no place to sit except the beds, I question the general cleanliness as the railings on the stairs were sticky as was the shower floor. In general, the room was someplace to escape from rather than enjoy.

A fantastic hotel! Right in the river, beautiful location

This is our 2nd stay at the Ruby River and we have enjoyed it. The restaurant is good, the beds are comfortable and it is a short walk to the convention center. We had an issue with our toilet repeatedly not flushing properly and they had to come up twice to fix it. Other than that it was great!

We love this property for its proximity to Gonzaga and downtown - easy walk in either direction. Friendly and courteous staff, great outside patio for meals and cocktails.

Overall we had a good stay at the Ruby River hotel. We came all the way from NC and stayed here for 3 nights. The property was in a great location and it was a short walk to the convention center and to the Ruby River park which was beautiful. One thing that was a little frustrating was the cable connection on the TV wasn’t the best. There weren’t many channels to choose from already and then a few times right in the middle of a movie, the connection would just go out and then we’d flip to other channels and same thing, no signal. After a long day out and doing lots of walking we’d just want to relax and watch a movie or show and that wasn’t the case on multiple occasions. Other than that hiccup, the stay was great and we really enjoyed the restaurant attached, Osprey. Food was good and happy hour was great! If we are ever back in Spokane, I’d likely book again at Ruby River hotel.

Loved the new pool!

This is a multi-building facility that has a theme that I would describe as "outdoor activities." My room featured this quote by John Muir painted on the wall: "Between every two pines there is a doorway to a new world." There was a second quote on another wall with the same theme. Room and hotel features are modern. It is obviously that this is a newer facility. The area around the hotel appears safe, and the rooms are nice and quiet. It's very dark at night, perfect for a sound sleep. There are two amazing swimming pools adjacent to the river, although I did not avail myself of their use. The hotel does not offer a complimentary breakfast, but the adjacent Osprey restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and is reasonably priced. Staff on the property were friendly and accommodating.
