University Plaza Hotel and Convention Center Springfield

The room outdated. Not much better than the 40$ motel down the road. Bed was comfy. Paid for the hot breakfast - I was sent to the convenience store in the lobby for cold pastry and bad coffee. Amenities were great but not useful for this stay. All in all 6 of 10

Quiet hotel, convenient location

Proximity to event destination. Too bad the Terrace Restaurant wasn’t open.

Hotel looked pretty old. Parking lot was not in the best shape. They also put charges on my card without telling me why.

The toilet and tub drain and flush very slowly. I didn’t receive any housekeeping for the two nights I stayed and I was not advised that there were not any housekeeping services. The fire alarm went off at 4:30 AM and I never heard it in my room. I just happened to be outside and heard it. The property is desperately in need of repairs and updates. There was also an old dank and wet smell in conference rooms.

Clean room, but dated and could use an upgrade to the finishes in the rooms

The cleanliness of the hotel was bad. Very outdated. The carpets need replace. The breakfast was cold. The staff were nice. They need to be deep clean.

Nice hotel and great location, could walk to MSU campus for the football game and did not have to worry about parking. The bath/shower could be updated, but it was clean. Room and beds were clean and comfortable.

Property was good, room was good. Won’t be long before room will need updating, but it was clean. Check-in personnel gave us breakfast vouchers, only to learn the following morning, no breakfast would be served. Not even coffee. The restaurant was also closed for dinner, so we had to travel elsewhere. I really feel the lack of food should be noted when booking, or upon check-in. Very misleading.

Location is great and staff were friendly The rooms are dated and run down. Ours smelled damp/mildewy

Centrally located Severely understaffed. No hot water in the morning.

Bar was only open on the weekends.

Exceptional

Staff was friendly, room was clean and spacious The bathroom in our room smelled stale and like urine (similar to that of a nursing home). A $25 fee is charged for non-guaranteed early check-in. The AC in our room didn’t cool the room lower than ~73°F.

Location was great. Staff was very friendly. Air conditioner not working properly, mold on bathroom ceilings, vent falling out, carpet was stained and filthy. Our first room, we had to switch out because the toilet was leaking from the ground seal all over the floor. I should've taken photos of carpet and tile.

I would definitely stay here again

Great location for Missouri State University. Needs some updates but acceptable for the location. We will come back.
