Lion Inn

We choose this motel when we are in St Augustine only for concerts at The Amp and possibly a beach visit during the stay. The location is great for concerts, and the motel is less expensive than other nearby options! The Lion Inn is super close to restaurants and a brewery, and it isn't a terrible walk to/from The Amp when rideshares are super pricey. The Lion Inn consistently provides a clean, no-frills room at a reasonable expense. The bedding was so uncomfortable, I struggled to get a good night's sleep during the weekend there. The pillows are too flat and soft, and the mattress is too hard. I know that's a preference thing, but I'll have to try to remember to bring my own pillow in the future. The water also takes a very long time to get hot for a shower, and it never did really get above "warm."

Reasonable price and a great sized room. Fridge working, location fantastic, a half hours walk over the drawbridge to the historic district with a multitude of unique shops. Beds were comfy. Plenty of parking, and a pool( not used) but looked ok. A little dated, in need of a little work but nothing else

Location was not bad. Room was extremely dated and unclean; and the sheets were old.

The location is perfect! There are many great spots (walking distance) for cocktails, coffee, breakfast and convenience. I chose this location because of this attribute as well as it being a short walk into downtown! It’s older, so the traffic can be heard from the room. But I am a light sleeper.

Clean, tidy. Walking distance to the downtown. Local breweries near by. Good fun.

it was close to the st augustine amphitheater, the beds were decent the male owner or manager didn’t really want to help, simply argued and sent his kind daughters to do what would take seconds to solve, the shower was also cold

The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the room was clean and of a decent size, beds were comfortable, pool was clean, location and parking were both excellent. I will definitely be back to this motel! There was nothing we did not like about the place. We wish we would have been staying for a longer period of time. Hopefully next time we will have a longer stay.

Huge room. Floors could be cleaner- especially under the sink, but overall well kept. Easy parking. Friendly staff. Loved the old school plastic key too

Staff was very pleasant and cared that we were comfortable. Free coffee in the morning.

Rooms are clean and reasonable prices.

Clean rooms, very friendly office staff, super convenient location. Easy to walk to Amphitheater or historic downtown. Rooms had refrigerator and microwave. Updated showers. Very good value.

Location not bad There was no breakfast. Not much coffee. Doors to office always locked. Rooms barely sufficient

The room was very clean. The Lion Inn may be an older establishment but the owners take pride in it and it shows. The beds were very comfortable also. We had an adjoining room that we could hear the people talking very loudly. This was probably because there was an opening at the bottom of the door probably from the carpet height that was there before the carpet was removed. At least they weren’t up late !
