Homewood Suites by Hilton St Louis - Galleria

We had to go to 3 different rooms to find one that did not have a terrible smell when we checked in. Then they had a sign at breakfast about offering alternatives for food allergies but it took 3 days for them to get gluten free bread. Then the streaming service went out for the whole hotel, then the internet went out for the whole hotel, (this was all out for days) then one day we needed new towels and toilet paper but apparently you can’t get service except on certain days so you are kinda stuck. It definitely is overpriced for what you get for the service.

Very clean room and building. Full workout circuit in fitness room! Front desk manager was super friendly even though he was the only one working and very busy. Nice overnight stay as we travelled through St. Louis.

Overall the experience was great, the First Lady that checked us in she was not as hospitable but the other staff was always hospitable and the rooms were clean. Only thing I disagree was paying for parking at the hotel.

Nothing The Hotel

Breakfast is short hours have to pay to park and don’t like that for this caliber of hotel. Good location.

Location was good. Understaffed and rude. Originally booked a room with 2 queen beds but had to swap to 2 rooms with a king (supposed to be same price but was charged). Then arrived at 3 which is check in time and room wasn’t ready until 5. The next morning, checkout was at 12 and the maids knocked on your door every 30 minutes until you left and even said once “yall need to leave”. Mind you, same maids that didn’t have our room ready until 2 hours after checkin time the day before.

I had a great time during my stay. The hotel is across the street from a mall so there is lots of shopping and restaurants. All of the staff I interacted with were extremely pleasant. I would definitely stay again.

Our room was clean and quiet! We have a family of 6 and all slept comfortably! Staff was super nice upon check in and check out! Great location with lots around to do as well!

The room airconditioner unit was extremely loud. It clearly needs replaced or some major maintenance. This is not what I expect or have experienced from Hilton hotels in the past.

Easy to navigate, clean, and welcoming staff! The hot tub was closed and the pool was a bit of a mess with the hoses and cleaning for the hot tub.

Kids everywhere and can be heard through paper thin walls. Fire alarm went off and staff just stated it did, but gave no instructions

2. Hotel and rooms are dated and in need of renovation. Toilet in room had a flush issue and there was rust in the bathtub.

Room wasn’t clean

Even though the staff had a problem with our original booked room, they were able to find us a great room. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was extremely clean and well appointed. The neighborhood feels safe. There is an IHOP next door that was convenient. They offer a wide range of snacks and drinks for sale in their lobby. There is free coffee and water in the lobby. I would say it is my new favorite for the St. Louis area.

The only thing I didn't like was it seems like there was either testing on the fire alarm or something was one with one of them as the alarm kept going off. Once through the night, twice in the morning. Was really the only "problem" per say.

Room had lots of highway traffic noise. Other than that it's in a good location for food within walking distance

Room was supposed to have been serviced every other day, this did not happen, instead they only took out the trash and towels without leaving replacement. We had to go down to the front desk to get the towels, since they did not have staff for housekeeping.
