Hotel Saint Louis, Autograph Collection

Good service

Room was fine. My husband and I had a rare long weekend getaway. We planned to relax, enjoy local dining and a baseball game. We reserved a rom with a separate sitting area and outdoor space/balcony. When we arrived we were told that the only room still available had neither. Upgrades in bathroom were nice, but not what we were there for. There was a coffeepot/Kureig sparsely stocked, a refrigerator that barely kept drinks cold, and no microwave. The staff seemed overwhelmed and understaffed the night we arrived. Had we planned to stay any longer, we would likely have moved to a different hotel that was more economical and had better place to spread out and enjoy a relaxing weekend. Since the stay was short, we decided to stay. While the weekend was not as expected, it was clean and quiet. It would not have been bad except it is not what we intro ally searched for and reserved.

Felt like a short staff issue Room had balcony but no chairs and we were over the air conditioning units

This property has been one of our favorites so far this year (and we travel frequently). The room was spacious, comfortable, inviting and beautifully decorated. We will definitely be back!

Clean room

The rooms were excellent. The pool was smaller than expected and the rooftop bar is only opened on Fridays & Saturdays which we didn't know before hand.

Exceptional

The hotel is nice due to central located. However, beyond the hotel control, the neighboring buildings are abandoned and full of graffiti, so no real view of anything from the balcony. The room size was great, didn’t utilize the bar/restaurant. The downfall was the cleanliness in the bathroom and lack of water pressure in the shower. Not sure what the rules are on using bleach to clean, but the shower stall def needs it. Not sure if it was a water pressure issue or actual shower head issues, but taking a shower in a dirty stall with low pressure was difficult.

If you book this hotel based on the brand name alone, you may be disappointed. The cleanliness, maintenance, and overall outdated appearance of the property all seem to need significant improvement.
