Exceptional

Within walking distance of Busch stadium, price was a little high, but convenience was worth it. Overall, hotel was nice- I thought the room was lacking for the price. Meals at the hotel restaurant were good, prices high too though. We did self parking & there was an attempted murder in the parking garage the hotel had us use on Olive St. the first night we stayed. The front desk told us not to walk there at night when we checked in. I'm glad they did.

Loved the beautiful old hotel, rooms were big, clean, and we'll maintained. Only 4 or so blocks from ballpark.

Passable

This was a very short stay for me, as I arrived pretty late due to my own coordination issues. However, the staff was amazing. I will say the one drawback was the door being pretty jammed. I needed to call the staff to open it for me, which they seem to know the doors do this often. This is something they address.

We arrived before the event to check in and had to temporarily park in a no-parking zone just to unload. The only parking directly in front was valet, so we chose self-parking for $40 rather than pay another $15 for valet. The garage was 0.3 miles away and honestly wasn’t bad—a short walk through a park, and it’s attached to Schnucks, which was convenient. When we got to the room around 1–1:30 a.m., there was an almond on the floor next to the bed, so I can’t vouch for how thoroughly the room was cleaned. We went to sleep around 2 a.m., expecting to sleep until 9 or 10. Nope. We were on the 18th floor, directly next to the fitness center. Starting around 6 a.m., we were woken by constant banging from the equipment for hours. I’m not bashing people for using the gym. You paid to stay there and should enjoy the amenities. What I question is why a fitness center is directly next to guest rooms, especially on the top floor. If we could hear it next door, I can only imagine what the rooms below heard. We booked a hotel for peace and quiet after a long night. Instead, we got roughly three hours of sleep. At that point, I would have been better off driving home. Hotels are supposed to be a place to rest, and unfortunately, that was the one thing this stay failed to provide.

Parking is a challenge but they validate and have valet. It is a stunning place to stay. Elegant and comfortable

A beautiful hotel access to many attractions We arrived and the door was open and would not close yet alone lock. We had to wait for maintenance which caused us to not be able to eat before the baseball game

Great Place
-
Beautifil downtown hotel that is updated with modern amenities but kept the old architecture that makes this unique. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Loved our dinner-at Robbies too. Walking distance to Busch Stadium and Gateway Arch National Park- highly recommend this hotel.

Very nice. Staff was friendly

When pre paying for breakfast through Expedia, make sure customer knows that they need to get a voucher from the desk before getting breakfast

On the positive side, the staff was very nice and welcoming. I also really enjoyed the complimentary cookies and milk—it was a great touch! The hotel’s location was another major plus because it was very close to the concert venue, which made getting to and from the event very convenient. With better housekeeping and room temperature control, this would have been a much better overall experience.

It is a beautiful historic property. The only issue we had was that self-parking ($40) was about 4 blocks away in a not great part of town. And I think the valets ($55) have to park there too because it took them forever to retrieve a car. They really should drop the price of valet parking and not even bother to recommend the other garage for self-parking. It was very uncomfortable to walk there and back.

Lovely hotel. Would stay again.

My only real complaint was the fact there are only 2 SMALL elevators so the day of checkout, it took FOREVER to get an elevator w/room to get in w/luggage to get downstairs because so many people were trying to check out at the same time. That was very frustrating!!
