Tru By Hilton St. Louis Downtown

Not the best area. The hotel itself is safe. But great hotel!

No parking streets blocked off and air didn’t work.

Toilet floor was sticky. Shower water leaks to the floor. The shower faucet would not turn without a great effort. The common area in front of the elevators is trashy and a trashcan right in front of the call button for the elevators.

Staff was truly lovely and took good care of us (gave us a room upgrade for free, as it was our first time in St Louis), but they were very understaffed at check in and there was quite a line and a wait. We parked on the street, but heard later that the Valet at the building was full by end of night so best to have a backup plan just in case if you have a vehicle.

Room was clean. However stool leaked. Notified staff and they were thankful. Breakfast staff was unable to keep enough food and everything supplied.

Property at Tru

The staff were all amazing!! The construction outside of the hotel is a downfall. Inside was very clean our room was clean and ready upon arrival. I would definitely recommend

The hotel was great, clean and the breakfast was delicious. The only issues I had were that I was unable to connect to the internet and the refrigerator in the room leaked water. I contacted the front desk to inform them of this. They said they were going to send someone to look at these issues but failed to do so. I only stayed for one night so there was no impact, but this would have had an impact if I was planning on staying longer.

The room was clean, cool and comfortable. The staff was kind. The breakfast was good. The laundry was good. The parking was expensive the area did not feel safe to walk. There were security guards which was nice. The streets are in the middle of construction and the hotel was also in the middle of some remodel.

There are bums and crack heads everywhere outside. I would NEVER stay here again outta fear for someone breaking into my car

The front desk staff is wonderful and incredibly helpful. The free breakfast is great. The bed was comfortable.

The room that we were given was NOT the room that we booked which was supposed to have a "city view" let's begin there... outside of this particular property the streets were lined with homeless in tents & sleeping bags,vehicles with the parts and wheels removed, ARMED security at the front entry. No microwave, no ice bucket, no cups, the room reminded me of a jail cell and the "city view"? Frosted windows with a type of like chicken wire in between the glass. The whole thing was a joke and a rip off. Good Luck to anyone who books this particular hotel as you will be in danger & mislead.

Too many junkies around the property makes you uneasy

Everything from The Breakfast to the staff to the parking was excellent so grateful I will be staying there again

Rooms were not restocked with toiletries when we arrived. Paid for valet parking ($55 a night) so we didnt have to park on the street. However valet parked us on the street and not in the garage. Breakfast area was dirty and coffee was consistently old or out. Front counter staff just looks at you in confusion when asking queations. Usually stay a Tru but know different hospitality groups own them. I'll be avoiding this one.
