my favorite place to stay in Saint Paul. Unique, acquaint, Welk located. I’ve only had positive experiences there.

This hotel is gorgeous!! It was a great location for us since we were in town for a concert at Grand Casino Arena and it was walking distance. The hotel is beautifully decorated and very charming. The bar and bartender were excellent! The breakfast had a great selection and the food much better than the average continental breakfast. Plus, it’s served in a beautiful old chapel with stained glass windows. Parking is not included but there is a parking garage right behind the building. I would 100% recommend this hotel

Parking is NOT included so expect to pay $25+/day. The photos online are somewhat misleading, was lot more run down in my room. Filtered water was broken and ice machines were inconveniently located.

We arrived late and our room had flooded. There was one room available that we were moved to that also had water in it. The staff were accommodating under the circumstances. There was a strong unpleasant smell throughout the hotel during our stay. Not sure if it was due to the water leaking or not.

Celeste occupies a very interesting older building and has an elegant, classic ambience. Staff were all very helpful and the buffet breakfast was very good, with lots of options. The bar was very nice and well provisioned. My only complaint involves the gym--the website and the reviews stated that there were no workout facilities. It turns out that there is a very small workout area with an elliptical machine, recumbent bike and free weights. I would consider that adequate for my purposes and I wish I had discovered the workout area sooner. There is limited on-street parking and two garages nearby (I used Spot Hero). I would suggest that the hotel explore some kind of validation arrangement with the garage around the corner that is quite close to the hotel's accessible entrance. All in all, a very pleasant stay.

I've wanted to stay at this property for a while and I'm so glad I finally had the opportunity. My husband and I were visiting St. Paul for a concert and this was the perfect location to stay for a weekend. The property is beautiful, well-maintained, and the common areas/our room were very clean. I felt completely at home and will definitely stay again.

Very historic beautifully appointed hotel. Nice cozy bar. Location was a bit sketchy and not close to many attractions.

Definitely a unique experience staying here - great staff and great bar! Appreciated the free breakfast in a very cool space.

Clean, quiet room that was within walking distance to our St. Paul activities amd nightlife. Lots of charm and coziness throughout.
