DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Tallahassee

Property is under serious construction. Tarps and plastic everywhere, dust from construction. Due to construction most amenities were not available. Rate should’ve been discounted due to construction if they still want to be able to stay open to make money during renovations. Property appeared to be a nice place to stay if construction was not happening, located in a nice area, there was a cute farmers market happening right across the street.

The property is beautiful it was our 2nd time staying here. Unfortunately the property was in the process of remodeling so the pool and gym we not able to be used during this stay. Staff is always helpful. We stayed in room 519 and is was clean but the toilet when flushed sounded like a plane taking off and the AC worked great but was very loud. Other than that we had no issues that would effect us from coming back in November.

The hotel was under construction while I was there so a few issues came up because of that. The staff however were all super friendly and accommodating and I interacted with 4 different front desk attendants and housekeeping.

Only way to adjust the tv was to stand beside it for the remote to work

The rooms smell moldy and the bathrooms shows signs of old wear. Pretty nasty overall I would choose another location to stay especially for the price.

I really enjoyed the stay! Clean with restaurant and bar on the premises. I’d easily stay again.

The hotel is under construction. The elevators don't work. The gym is closed. The pool is difficult to access - Requires walking outside, uphill on a long, steep parking garage ramp. If traveling with older adults, anyone in a wheelchair or anyone with difficulty walking, it makes the pool virtually impossible to access. Had we known, we would have stayed elsewhere.

Could use some updating. I wasn’t aware I had to pay for parking daily.

Rooms were spotless and the staff is very friendly.

They have two restaurants, while we were there the rooftop restaurant was closed on the holiday, which is fine. They gave us other local options to dine at. Harry’s seafood is right down the street and the food there was great. The staff was nice, my first introduction was from Sam on the night shift and he gave us all the details on to maximize our stay. They did have some construction going on but we slept right through it. Overall, the stay was 10/10

I booked this hotel for my 18 year old to attend her college orientation. My daughter who was going to be the guest proactively contacted this property on the same day to be told that she would be denied check in because of her age although on the booking information suggests that with an accompanying designation letter from myself along with pertinent credit card information, it was possible. They were unapologetic about this and offered no recourse stating that it was not their problem. This information was to the least misleading and obviously caused a major inconvenience. I would never be choosing this brand and I suggest you do your research prior to booking.

Room is clean and no smell or stains. The front desk is not very friendly and seems like she didn’t wanna help me. Quite rude

Beautiful and clean hotel!

Very outdated

Pictures of the rooms on the website are not accurate. Did not get the room I booked and staff were unhelpful.in addressing the issue, request to be moved to a different room and was told nothing was available. Room had a very loud dehumidifier which had to run or the room smelled dank. The smallest shower enclosure I've ever been in, horrible shower head that barley worked. No microwave, no sitting chair or couch as indicated in the room description. Garage parking is very limited, no lifted trucks or high SUV can make it past the 2nd floor. Nothing to do in the immediate area.
