Hotel Tampa Riverwalk

We booked this hotel back in January 2026 specifically for the Bruno Mars concert on September 12, 2026. We planned everything months in advance. When we arrived, we were shocked to discover that THE HOTEL WAS COMPLETELY CLOSED😡 What makes this even more frustrating is that we never received ANY notification from Expedia or the hotel informing us that the property was closed or that our reservation would not be honored. And here’s the craziest part: you can STILL make reservations for this hotel online through the hotel’s website, Expedia, and other booking sites, even though the property is NOT OPEN🚨 Thankfully, we were able to get accommodated at another Hilton property, but having to deal with this right before a concert we had been waiting 9 months for was incredibly stressful and completely unacceptable. ⚠️ PLEASE CHECK CAREFULLY BEFORE BOOKING THIS HOTEL. Do not assume that because rooms are showing as available online, the hotel is actually open. Sharing this so nobody else shows up with luggage in hand, only to discover that their hotel is CLOSED😡

the balcony was nice, the smell of weed was disgusting. the place was under construction, I would have liked a heads up.

Locate in a central area. We were not informed that the property was under construction, so many of the amenities were not available that was very disappointing.

The hotel was under construction.It was hard time finding the elevator and when I got off the elevator it smelled a mold mill dew and pee.The rooms were nasty, the sheet smelled like vomit.The bathroom was unkept and rusty and old.It was just a terrible experience The condition of the hotel was nasty. Absolutely the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Almost entirely under construction and didn’t give me notice until it was too late to cancel though that’s partially on Expedia too. Bathroom was dated although decently clean. The valet was overwhelmed and charged $44 a night when it would have been more convenient to just get the car myself instead of waiting 20 minutes for them to get my car from walking distance. Called for towels twice and never got them. Cleaning staff was extremely loud in the morning. Management seemed tired and unfriendly. Hallways were depressing. Costs the same as any other Hilton in the city that looks much nicer. This hotel might be decent in 2 years when construction is done absolutely awful until then. I’ve never felt compelled to leave a review like this in my life.

It was under construction and had no amenities. The pool was closed. The room was dirty. Bathroom was dirty. Parking was expensive.

The sheets on the bed was nasty, blood stains on the bed ..I called they did come change the sheets but they was nasty too so I had to call again about them!!!
