La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Thousand Oaks-Newbury Park

The rooms are very nice since they remodeled and they are super clean . What I didn’t like and really hurts the rating I’m giving it is #1 the shampoo conditioner bottles in the restroom seem to always be empty. It’s not my first time staying here and I’ve seen this before #2 the breakfast, barely anything eggs are powdered and they never seem to have juice or coffee, instead they offer a small bottle of water. Lastly there prices for a juice at the front desk $7? You kidding me! That’s too much for a simple minute made lemonade for one person !!!!!

The breakfast location is small for the amount rooms the hotel has. It’s got too crowed.

Toilet didn't work had to change rooms. Had to ask for towels/wash cloths. Nobody picked up trash. Nobody serviced room. Elevator was missing buttons, barely worked. No coffee at breakfast bar. Probably won't stay at another La Quinta. We stayed at Embassy Suites and Holiday Inn this trip and they were great.

Had just remodeled and was getting bugs out, no coffee or juice for breakfast and TV remote were not programmed properly to to the TV.

All trashes onsite were overfilled. The continental breakfast was ridiculous, no coffee, no orange juice, a gallon milk that had a tiny bit left. Room was clean.

Breakfast was pretty much nonexistent with no coffee or tea and no waffle machine in working order.

Had to change rooms because the refrigerator didn’t work in the first room they assigned us. Front desk guy acted like he was put out by every simple question we asked. Got to the point by day three like we had to walk on egg shells every time we had to interact with him. Strange. Not sure he even speaks English either. Interesting choice for a front facing staff member. At Check in we were informed of a $10 per night parking fee but the front desk person quickly caved and said that he’d waive the parking fee if we gave them a 5 star rating on Google. (Illegal). Ice machines on two of the 3 floors were out of order. Had to give a credit card for incidentals even though they offer nothing that could be an additional charge. The items for sale at the front desk area are all self serve and self check out. Laundry room area was out of service. Went to the front desk twice during our stay only to see a sign saying the front desk person was out at lunch break. It said a specific time they’d return and when I went back 5 minutes after that time he still hadn’t returned. Tried the pool twice and both times the pool towel rack was empty so we had to go and find a housekeeper to give us a towel. Every trash can on the property was overflowing every time we went to throw something out. Almost comical by the end of our stay. Says they are pet friendly but the dog waste bags were empty our entire stay. All little things but when taken in total it became something bigger in our minds.

It was clean and quiet. Friendly environment for the most part. Breakfast is not true. It's a to go bag for a kindergarten kid.

Advertized a continental breakfast, all they had was a bag with a small water and crackers and a cookie. Not impressed. I went there because I thought I could get breakfast without going somewhere else for breakfast

I was not impressed. My room had a door that didn't fit right and so wouldn't close all the way unless I slammed it and checked. I got back from going to the office and it was wide open. Glad I didn't leave for the day or I would have been robbed. Next, they have "motion sensor" lights. Unfortunately, the sensors did not include movement in the shower. With the door closed, the room went pitch black after about 30 seconds. Waving my hands outside the shower didn't even work. I had to get out and actually hit the switch for it to turn back on. About a minute later, it happened again. Finished my shower in pitch black to keep from doing it multiple times. Same when I was on the toilet doing my business. The switch was right there so not as big of a deal but seriously! Getting hot water in the sink took forever and more motion control there too. Coffee but no tea, which would have been fine if I had a relaxing shower. Sheets were very scratchy. I always seem to be disappointed by this hotel chain. I never plan on using them again.

La Quinta was in terrible shape. My nephew had refused to stay the night before, so we inspected our room before we checked in and it was terrible. And I expect a rebate from Expedia.

Clean. Good. Breakfast was snacks in a bag and the gym was unusable. But otherwise happy!

Hot tub is hot. The air condition is only mediocre. They are still under construction.

Remodel is still not done.

They are still working on the renovations.
