Baymont by Wyndham Topeka

1st off did not hold the military discount price from $60 a night to $98 on my room price. Had no computer chair. Could not use the pool. The room smelled like smoke in a non smoking room. The room had no ice bucket or no disturbed sign. Then charged me another random 80 dollars! I need to talk to corporate as I am a lifetime blue member. Do not book or stay there! Also free breakfast was a joke. Went at 7 am and there was one egg and 2 soft souageges. Really nothing else but a jar of orange juice and water in ice. The worst place for that price i ever stayed at!

Room was ok. Had a gun hole in the ceiling, tub filled up while showering, it was very loud all night during my stay. People that were there played music till 2am as if it was a block party, no sleep, someone's kid kept crying. I literally got no sleep during my stay. The staff was friendly but their tenants have zero respect for visitors. I will not be returning to stay.

The lighting was all messed up in the room. The toilet didnt flush well. Most Baymonts I've stayed at u access your room from inside this one was more like a super 8 or red roof inn where you access your door from outside.

We checked out immediately after checking in. The lights didn’t work in our room. Once we finally got a light on we could see that the beds were not made, there was food trash in the trash cans and the room smelled of stale smoke. Not to mention that the room next to us had their AC torn apart and being worked on. So much for trying to save a few bucks.

Bed was comfortable building old and not well maintained

Air conditioner took a bit to cool down the dampness of the room.

I checked out right after checking in and told them to cancel. Did not appear to be a safe environment for me.

Ok for price.

My room was in bad shape; everything was very dirty. There was urine all over the bathroom, the bathtub was filthy with flies buzzing around, and everything smells bad.

The sheets and towels were clean. Stain on the room’s carpet. The staff was helpful. Breakfast was ok, With eggs, sausage, cereal, juice, yogurt, and coffee. The property was being repaired at places outside.

This is an older hotel, well situated near two interstate highways (I-70 and I-470) There is an excellent Texas Roadhouse restaurant within walking distance across the street. The room I had was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, there was an issue with the hot water in the bath/shower. All I could ever get out of it was warm water, although the water in the sink was hot. It seemed to be an issue with the control valve for the bath/shower. The air conditioning functioned well.

A/C unit was VERY loud. No A/C on so room was extremely hot. Shower was difficult to turn on. No ice machine. LOUD A/C unit

WISH there was a way to give no stars, take warning. Do not stay at this property. Unsafe! SMELLS like a marijuana factory property in disrepair room was disgusting Used soap in the shower, carpets gross! between the cigarette smoke and the marijuana smell AND people drinking and partying outside their rooms being loud THIS PLACE was just appalling. It was the hotel from hell!

Nothing Everything

Rooms were dirty, carpet was dirty, i cleaned the bathroom floor-because there were so much hair and debris laying about. There was a water leak from under the base board, with metal door frame near it---no can't see why the maid never reported the problem--it was rusting. Breakfast was so scarce, the attendant was nearby but she wasn't making any effort to replenish anything. People came to eat, looked and left. Just horrible.

I requested, chose, and paid for a king main floor room and when we arrived we were told the only king rooms they had were on the 2nd floor so we had to take a double room.The room and the interior of the building were clean. the exterior like the sidewalk, walkways and the grounds around were not clean at all and the breakfast left a lot to be desired. We arrived at 8:30 and breakfast was not supposed to be over until 9:00 and there was minimal sausage and what was there was so hard you could not eat it, we had to ask for eggs and they were cold. If I had the choice, I probably would not stay here again.

I’ve NEVER written a poor review so not overly picky, BUT here goes. I chose the “pay at the property” option for 3 rooms because I was traveling with other family members that were going to pay for their rooms when we got there. The motel charged my card the day before we arrived for all three rooms. So all of my money for the weekend was tied up in motel charges (it takes 5 business days to refund). Then we get to our room and the bed was unmade with motor oil on the sheets,. not vacuumed and piss in the toilet and on the floor. They called house keeping and they came and cleaned for 2 hours. We didn’t get into our room until midnight. The other two rooms were clean, but smelled very heavily of pot and cigarette smoke so bad. NIGHTMARE!
