Baymont by Wyndham Traverse City

We booked two queen beds but were given a single king bed. No other availability and told it was the fault of the third party booking.

Low staffing. Not much breakfast items

I never expected to feel unsafe in a Traverse City hotel. When we checked in the desk attendant looked disheveled and made a sexist joke my wife didn't appreciate. Then the first night we stayed there were construction workers drinking and hollering in the parking lot all night. There was dirt, foot prints, a giant dead bug, and drywall dust all over the hallways that were never cleaned the 3 days we were here. Every time we used the pool men that looked like drug addicts would wander in looking around for something but never got in the pool. Using the elevator we ran into two more guys that looked like addicts who could barely stand. Bed was ok, pillows were flat. Shower had no pressure and the water felt sticky for lack of a better word. If you have a family I would not recommend staying here.

Swimming pool had dirty water, twice i went down to use and the water was dirty. Water had hair floating and dirt in all four corners. Rooms need updating, bathroom door was re-skinned at some time. Window by room heater/ac had fogged up in the glass.

Room was dirty, staff was sloppy, breakfast was awful. Since staying here credit card was used with fraudulent charges. Pictures of rooms were not accurate online, would NOT recommend

Very nice room, housekeeping was every 3 days but got new towels daily. Good supplies of snacks & sundries. Staff helpful giving us info about the International fireworks competition- was sold old for months but found viewing areas. Breakfast was decent- had Belgian waffles & smaller ones too, fruit available & yogurt biscuits & gravy, eggs, toast, cereal. Plenty of coffee & tea. Plenty of room for our bike & trailer in the back. We were part of a Can Am rally group & about 20 of us stayed there

My husband stayed for a work thing! He said it was Comfy! Close to the mall!

Stayed at the Baymont Wyndam Hotel in Traverse City, MI on 09/6/2026 Sunday before Labor day. The address was wrong on the there website. The address showed that the hotel was near the water. I had to drive around and call and ask where the hotel was located. Got to the hotel and the 2nd floor hallway smelled like mildew and our toilet did not flush due to the handle being broken. Went to the front desk to request maintenance and there was no maintenance staff available. The front desk clerk said they were under staff and he was the only one working the front desk. I felt bad for him because he was a really nice young man trying his best to accommodate us. He tried to get us another room but unfortunately everything was all sold out. Had to cancel are stay and drive back home 3 hour and 45 min since most hotels were sold out for the holiday weekend. I was upset because I had my 85 year old dad with me who was looking forward to spending some time in Traverse City. I said sorry dad will try again next year. Do better Baymont Wyndam.

My specific room has stained furniture...large stains. The walls had patching that had not been sanded or painted. That was unappealing. I would have rated this better if my room had been ready and better maintained. It was clean though.

For the money we paid I would expect cleaner rooms. The carpet turn my white socks black there was mold on the curtains. The bedspread had stains on them. I was told that they ran out of coffee pods I should get a refund but was told since I went through a third party they can’t assist

The staff was super friendly, and overall a decent place to stay. The room was comfortable, but the walls were a little thin and could hear people talking on the other side, but nothing that kept us awake.

Property was clean, but dark, room not well maintained. Room 127, air conditioner constantly rattled. It worked & we tolerated. Microwave lock engaged every time it completed cycle. Std popcorn bag would not fit MW & staff were of no help. Hot water not available outside of breakfast time. I wouldn’t stay again due to cost & inconveniences. Lighting was really bad & needs more outlets for charging.
