OMG, such a great place to stay. Yes seeing it for the first time it is of old fashion stature but what a lovely place to stay close to town. The gentleman at the desk during our stay was ABSOLUTLY AMAZING!!! He was prepared to answer all questions with information he had printed out and talk about his town with such zest. We could walk into town no problem and he even explained the State street route to enjoy the quite quant neighborhood. This is a must stay for the price, people and location. The room was spotless and the to go breakfast options were wonderful. Very accommodating. Nothing, The Grand Traverse Motel is GREAT!!!!

Remember it is a motel not a resort. Perfect as a headquarters for day trips. Sleeping bear dunes is only 45 minutes away. Downtown Traverse City 5 min drive.

Staff interaction was very good Door on room next to me was very squeaky and could use some lube as neighbors kept going in and out when trying to get to sleep.

Room was clean, bed was comfortable, breakfast was packaged oatmeal, packaged snack stuff rolls, bars, juice. no eggs or sausage if looking for that there are restaurants in the area, or higher priced hotels that offer it. overall, it was a good stay.

I rated this motel as all 5 stars as it was exactly what was advertised and exactly what we were expecting. It was clean and big enough for us both and staff were helpful. The free breakfast wasn’t spectacular but again it was fine and what we expected.
