Park Place Hotel

I chose this hotel for the location. But for almost $550 I expected a more well kept hotel. They put us in the side wing which looks like it hast been updated since it was built… nothing was dirty, just outdated and worn out. One of the elevators that went up to the bar on the top floor was out of order, and we waited a long time. The bar is tiny! Like 4-5 tables and 6 barstools. So once we finally got up, we tried to see if any seats would open and after waiting a while we ended up leaving. The sprinklers outside were also broken and were on 24/7 and there was no way to enter the hotel without getting a little wet.

Very outdated and overpriced..

The bar located on the 10th floor made for a nice destination in the evening offering beautiful views of the Bay and downtown. The bar staff was friendly. The only downside was having to climb the steps from the 9th to the 10th floor. An employee mentioned the elevator to the 10th had been out of commission for a couple months. We can easily climb steps, but some may find it difficult.

Good staff. Elegant lobby. Room shabby.

Clean enough but very old and dated. The elevator was broken so you are using the service elevator.

Location and parking. Great staff. Rooms were tight, awkwardly shaped. Expensive for the stay. . Didn't get the bed requested and internet would not work so I could work while traveling.

The terrible condition and cleanliness of the property was only exceeded by the complete lack of care and professionalism of the staff. The interior has the filthy patina of a division 3 fraternity house. Although there is one working elevator, there isn't a operational ice machine in the entire building. The customer-facing staff's complete lack of concern for guests, and their 100% focus on their iPhones, explains how a property like this degrades into such a state. No leadership. No Management. God Help Amway with the project they are about to undertake -- straightening our this dumpster fire.

We have stayed there many times before. While the room is comfortable, and it’s location is superb, this trip included the main elevator not working, so if you wanted to go to the rooftop deck, you had to walk up a flight of stairs, the ice machine on our floor was out, and the credit card functioning in the restaurant was also not working. It felt like they just gave up on quickly fixing any of these issues.

Hotel is very rundown. Pool was closed most of morning so kids never got to swim.

Place is in great need of upgrades/renovation. Exhaust fan didnt work in the bathroom. No hooks for towels. Desk chair was cracked and in horrible shape. The location is great but it needs lots of tlc

Property is old and our room needed updating. Shower was mediocre, and the faucet control was loose. Bathroom window sills needed cleaning, as did the carpeting in the room. I will not stay there again.

Great hotel that’s definitely seen better days

The hotel needs maintenance; our room had a peeling bathtub for example. The lobby is dated, the elevator to the rooftop bar was broken. Convenient location to downtown and the free parking was nice.
