Everyone was friendly and the hotel was always fully stocked. Always plenty of room to relax at the beach, pool or hot tub. Never ran out of towels or supplies. Boxed breakfast delivered to the room each day. Coffee available 24/7. I highly recommend the suites for families of 5 or 6 people. Very spacious. Very clean and well maintained resort.

Breakfast was nice with it being delivered evey morning. Wish there was more of a variety for thr options or at least have an actual continental breakfast option. We did request extra pillows on our e-check in and reminded them of it when we got there. We never recieved those extra pillows. We did love that the last hour of the pool being open was adult only! The staff was nice and helpful.

Staff was great view was amazing

Staff was not very kind or helpful. Property was very clean and nice. Bed was comfortable. Parking seemed iffy at times and would fill up. Elevator was super quick. Beach was beautiful. Pool was great. Continental breakfast delivered to room was great! Water sports by a different company was available at the property but they were rude and not helpful at all, also kind of expensive. Still had a nice time kayaking.

Breakfast delivery was a nice touch.

Hotel staff was great and were constantly cleaning! But the hotel room we had seemed to be a little outdated in the bathroom. A new shower and what appeared to be mold on the wall next to the toilet. Not the staff fault but ownership. Would still come back great beach location!

Beach is perfect, pool was great, overall awesome place!

Great location on the lake. Water clear and beautiful. Sandy beach raked and comfortable with comfy chaises and chairs. Room was comfortable with good amenities. Cleaning was not done during our stay. Staff friendly and helpful.

From our greeting at the Front Desk to our check-out everything was great. Super pleasant staff. Room overlooking the beach was great. Plenty of chairs to enjoy the waterfront.Balcony had a table & chairs to enjoy the view. Nice bathroom products. Loved the Breakfast presentation. On time individual picks served. Mine was a muffin, banana, OJ and water, Husband had the same but a donut. It was perfect. Thought it was a clever idea.

Amazing location

Our room had a smell to it that we could not expel by opening the windows or running a fan. When we asked the manager about it, they were very rude and disrespectful about it, and offered us a room that would not fit the four of us. The manager was completely disrespectful when we tried to remediate the issue. The toilet backed up and the pullout bed that we had to pay extra for had springs sticking out of it. The breakfast also was a prepackaged wrapped doughnut. Definitely not the stay we were hoping for- for the money we spent.

Excellent hotel on the bay with clean rooms, great service, and location is perfect. Our family loves staying at the Sugar Beach each year.

The rooms are outdated and not the cleanest, they need to have better staff that clean the room’s a lot better there were ants, crawling all over the floors, fruit flies in the room. The beach is absolutely beautiful, but the rooms definitely need to be cleaned better.

We had a wonderful time at Sugar Beach Resort Hotel. The customer service from the staff was excellent. They always greeted us with a smile. The property was clean from the rooms to the beach area. The hotel provided box breakfast to your door every morning. You could select from cereal, donut, muffin, sausage and cheese breakfast sandwich, yogurt and eggs and all boxes came with fruit, milk or OJ and water. The hotel is about 15 minutes to downtown. There are plenty of places to eat around and hotel and downtown. You could rent canoes, paddleboards and jet skis right on the property. We had a junior suite without a view which was nice. Next time we will get a room with a balcony. I highly recommend the hotel.

We frequent Traverse, and we always stay at the Sugar Beach! It is so nice to open the patio door and be right on the beach, steps away from watersports! The hotel is a little older, so if you're looking for modern conveniences like USB-C chargers in the wall, you won't find that here. But what it lacks in technology, it makes up for in cleanliness and charm. We especially love the pool and hot tub. The relaxing hot tub is such a nice amenity, particularly because most hotels are getting rid of them these days. You will not find a cleaner hotel, inside and out, and the staff is fantastic! We usually fly in, so I typically have several grocery and drink-like items delivered to the property before check-in, and they are great about holding them for me. That is very appreciated. The laundry room is great. I just wish they had more than two of each machine. There is an arcade adjacent to the pool area and gym as well, for added entertainment. This is in a prime location and has so many great things to offer. Stay here, and you won't regret a thing!

The resort is right on the beach, and our room overlooked it into Grand Travers Bay. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Our room and the entire resort was kept up nicely and clean. We wish they would do a little more with the breakfasts, but it is nice to have something. And bring your hiking boots if you need ice. Overall, a very enjoyable visit.

Michelle was so so helpful, and another staff member walked us all the way to our room when we couldn't figure out which elevator to take, even though she had an armful of towels. Lovely, lovely staff and pretty hotel.

Price for location was great! Amenities and room size excellent.

We appreciated the consistency of politeness from staff during our stay. The beach area was nice and every kid there seemed to enjoy the duck family that hung out close by to the chairs.
