We stayed in Building 3, the new one. Outstanding room amenities including a deep stand alone tub, very large Samsung plus TV, comfy beds and pillows, and in-room coffee and tea. That building has no food service but the indoor pool was there. The main building has several tvs with DVDs, a pool table, puzzles, games and books. There is 24/7 coffee, tea, cocoa and cookies. Absolutely beautiful. Outdoors are tables and chairs in groups, a grill and a private sand beach with lots of chairs. The water is waste deep hundreds of yards out, so it is pretty safe for children. Spectacular views of the bays. A true resort! While the resort is building new areas up and there is no restaurant currently, several decent places are within walking distance for all meals. Note there is a Moomers ice cream shop less than 10 minutes walk! We would highly recommend this resort and will stay there again.

Beautiful views, condo was clean, and the property is well maintained.

Beautiful grounds and very clean!

It was a beautiful room. My only complaint is that the morning coffee was in a different building and I have issues walking very far due to back pain. There were coffee pods in the room but no cream or sugar. Also the beach area was quite a walk so not real convenient except for the younger generation. The view from our balcony was wonderful.

The Tamarack Lodge has been a go-to property for our stays in Traverse City for years. What may be most impressive about the Tamarack is how well it is maintained: it doesn't show one iota of wear or abuse after the many years since our first visit--no scrapes, scratches, stains, you-name-it. The only small disappointment (again, small) was that when I appeared at the desk to indicate we had arrived in town, I asked the desk clerk to text or call me when our room was ready. Instead, she asked that I be the one to call. In light of the room rate, I think it's appropriate to ask for notification, but everything worked out fine, as it always does.

Great beds and great location and beautiful view of the beach

More outdoor seating is necessary. Preferably with shade or rain protection. We squeezed under an umbrella at a table to sit in a light rain at the water, beautiful night outside, just a tad uncomfortable. Breakfast foods available would have also been handy!

Very clean location with a very helpful staff!

Room was clean and tidy but small. No bathmat, which was odd. The parking situation needs figured out...construction is taking up much of the lot and with the intended opening of their fourth building/cabins it will make this a tight squeeze if not addressed. Bar was never opened during our entire stay. I saw one fire pit open out of multiple and that was only on one night. Overall, it's a nice place to stay if you want to be on east bay but with a complete lack of vibe it seemed a bit dull even to two relatively low-key people. Suggestion would be to bring in some music, entertainment, or at least do something other than just being there. I could have easily used Marriott points and stayed across the street which at least has proximity to the pizza pub (trying to cross that road is NOT advised).

Beautiful facility, very nice people.

Very quiet. Associates were all kind and helpful. Only thing ‘ehh’ was that only one car allowed in parking lot (needed a parking pass, and this was clearly noted when room was booked). Extra parking was available at another walkable location. Would go back in future. 😊

Our stay was wonderful! The new addition with the inside pool/sauna area was very nice as well. Highly recommend staying at this property.

Overall had a great stay! The room was super clean and we loved the balcony facing the bay. Wish there was a work out room in the facility. Would stay here again.

Great location! No food of any sort on site, and staff was not terribly helpful. But overall lovely property.

Doing construction. Property lacking attention to detail. Corner rooms are tiny. Boat dock gone, shows in picks. Very little beachfront. Rate just ok, not worth what they are charging.

Very un-impressive for what we paid. Other than the indoor pool, there are little amenities. The beach is not great, very small with very little sand. No fitness center. No bar or restaurant. Very few restaurants near by… I’d rather of stayed across the street at the new Residence Inn

We had a comfortable stay-a couple small suggestions that may help future guests. In room plastic cups were very cheap, would suggest Glass for a hotel as nice as yours. Also to use the TV you had to create an account with samsung which could be a challenge for some guests. There were no directions on how to control the TV and the front desk did not know.

We had reserved a bay view room. The view was amazing. It was also in a quieter area of Traverse City. We had issues with our refrigerator while there and they changed out the unit for us. I really appreciated the daily room service. I wasn't expecting that. I would absolutely stay here again!
