We liked that the bedroom was separate from the living area

Needs upgrading for the price you pay to stay there.

It was the perfect place for us and our 3 granddaughters. The second bedroom was upstairs and the girls loved it.

The location is awesome, the exterior was cute and looked cared for, actual rooms could use some work and were a little rough. But pretty clean and very well appointed. Down side is pool closed at 8:30 when staff left for the day which also meant there was no one on site to provide assistance of any kind.

Traverse Bay Inn is a cozy spot to rest and rejuvenate while you enjoy all Traverse City has to offer. The staff is exceptional, the pool is clean and inviting, and the lodgings are a comfy home away from home.

Carpeting was sticky There were few towels for the number of guests

I got a text the day of my stay that they are overbooked and told me to go to another motel instead. I booked this for a family vacation having two bedrooms and a kitchenette in the same unit. They gave me two individual bedrooms in the other motel with no kitchenette. This was not what I wanted. When I called Traverse Bay Inn, the lady was outright rude and offered me money back instead of accommodating in Traverse Bay Inn.

Great location. It was awesome that it was pet friendly. I mean it’s pet friendly so it obviously kind of smelled musty in the room. bathroom wasn’t very clean.

Clean , well kept, we didn’t use the pool but it looked very nice Carpet

The mattress had a dip on one side (kind of a hole), the door to the hall would pop open even when locked. We came back from an event and our room door was open. It also popped open early in the morning (luckily the chain was latched). Housekeeping staff was friendly, although we did not request services during our stay. Our particular room was a loft style, which required a long, narrow, steep set of stairs to access our room, which was difficult for my 88 yr. old mother to climb (I did not know they had rooms with stair access). This is a very nice motel, I would stay again, but would request not to have an upstairs room with a shared stairs and hall. If it had been warmer, I would have loved to use the beautiful pool!

Wasn’t terrible for the price, but our unit was full of ants. Old torn towels, cracks in the walls and ceiling.

A full two-bedroom apartment - and our room was on the corner so in the woods, which was fantastic. All of the comforts of home! Not close to downtown.

Good location. Cozy little room to rent. Very friendly staff. The window wouldn’t close at night and it was right above the bed it swung open a few times during the storm waking us up. We were only provided a half used roll of toilet tissue and the office was closed at night so we couldn’t get more.

Full size refrigerator, nice small kitchenette which meets our needs. The road noise was next to none except when people were going to / from work times. And not all that bad either. The carpets are old, but clean. Although it is a dog friendly hotel... Keep that in mind and I had a dog. The parking surface was fair. The air conditioners were very loud. Not: worked excellent just not for a lighter sleeper

The staff is so friendly and kind. We stay every year, and while the pool isn't open that is due to the Northern Michigan region being cold still. We recommend staying here.

Nice place, good management. A little far but worth it.

Very spacious for my family for the night, we loved that we couldnt hear any noise from the rooms around us which was great, also great the room came with cooking and dining utensils

Location Front desk staff was nonexistent my entire stay. I was given the wrong room type. My room was extremely dirty. The air conditioning had years worth of dust hanging from it. The door would not lock properly. The ill-fitting curtain rod fell on my head.
