I'd appreciate if Cielo's got a few more veg/vegan options for breakfast menu and buffet.

The inside of the rooms were a little bit dated, but very, very clean. The outside of the property is gorgeous and updated. This would be a good property to have a family at. Very nice, but pretty relaxed. Did not try the dining options, but there were many. A couple things – there wasn’t an ice machine to use, but the front desk did give me a small bag of ice. There also wasn’t a microwave available anywhere – I did ask a little bit later in the evening, so maybe there’s one available during the day. But if you’re on a long road trip, ice and a microwave are nice to have. I would stay here again. Also, there’s tons of things close by. It’s a fairly short and easy drive into downtown Tucson, and there is a Target and other things that you might want if you had a family with you on a road trip. I was visiting Saguaro National Park, and it was a short easy drive there, too.

Everything was lovely, our room was clean and comfortable with very nice soft sheets. Staff helpful and friendly . Food was good too. Plus plenty of safe parking. We enjoyed our stay very much.

I loved the Lodge on the Desert. It’s one of the few classic, beautiful, old school hotels that harken back to the ‘40’s and ‘50’s. Many movie stars stayed there. But what sets Lodge on the Desert apart is that it’s unpretentious and true Arizona while having beautiful rooms and grounds. The restaurant is great and the bar has wonderful margaritas. The pool was a restful oasis. I think the Lodge will be my go to in Tucson now.

This place was a nice weekend get away for us and no kids.

I only stayed one night but would’ve loved to stay more! I felt like I had my own little apartment. The room was so cute and cozy and the property was beautiful. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful with any questions I had. I was able to enjoy the pool as well as have dinner at the bar of the restaurant on property. I will definitely stay here again if I’m ever in Tucson in the future!

The room was very nice and clean . Had a fridge which was very helpful and a coffee/ tea hotpot. The restaurant was great! Very good food. The tamales with green sauce was delicious. Pool looked great wish we would’ve had more time to enjoy that. The only negative was they were out of bottled water in the gift shop

This was a quaint little spot that felt like a private getaway. Big rooms, friendly staff, fun little on site restaurant. Will return!

That may be part of the charm of the place I guess, we had no complaints as such, and it isn't run down, just feels like it's from a bygone era. We didn't eat in the restaurant, but had bar snacks and drinks in the bar. Very attentive barman, and mixed a great margarita for my wife! We didn't use the pool either, as we were in town for family events. It was priced well, and the dated feel wouldn't put us off staying there again.

easy check in, clean room, restaurant was great, no complaints at all and will stay again.

We arrived at the Lodge on the Desert and checked in. Reception was not friendly or welcoming, somewhat robotic. We reserved a Standard Casita King, an upgraded room with high ceilings and wooden beams, a fireplace, couch and sitting area, and a nice bathroom with talavera style tiles. That is not what we were given. Room 137 was standard, basic, with very worn carpeting, a small bathroom with a tub/shower combo. It had no sitting area where we could relax together, no sofa, no fireplace. It also did not have working internet. We called the front desk twice, the first time no one answered, the second an individual did come to the room and told us, "it's just slow", no, there was no internet connection. We showered and looked for the provided robes, but there was only one. On the positive side, the bed was comfortable and the gardens/landscaping were very nice and well maintained. In the morning, we again called reception to find out where the ice machine was, no answer and when my husband went looking for it, he did not find it nor did he find anyone at the desk to ask.

Everything was good, except for the bugs that would come in through the little cracks at the bottom of the doors.

Wonderful property. Excellent staff.

Lovely
-
My largest complaint is that the Hot Water took too long to get Hot. Used a lot of water before the water got Hot.

Lovely stay for our ladies trip. Central to many Tucson locations, amazing food, beautiful pool, and comfortable rooms.

*fridge didn't work *pool was not heated as advertised *walkway was not well lit from the parking lot *bar staff not welcoming *not attempt for return business by general manager *discounts not applied across the board with clarity *room not easily cooled off Not a great stay

We liked the free drink and salsa in the restaurant, too.It prompted us to have dinner there.

Had a very pleasant stay. Quiet even though in the middle of the city. Pool is nice and shaded for early evening, which is so nice. Loved the stay!
-
It was an all around great stay we just wish they would've maintained a more clean, enjoyable pool. Myself plus several other guest were cleaning it ourselves just so we could enjoy it
