Crystal Lodge Motel

My partner and I needed a place to stay for one night and booked this place last minute. Ventura seems to have many overpriced, mediocre hotels and this was a cheap option with fairly okay reviews. We pulled up around 10pm and when we approached the office, it seemed to be locked but then someone immediately opened the door for us. He was friendly and asked us if we wanted a room in the back or on the 2nd floor in the front and I asked him what he thought would be a better room - he said the traffic can get loud at the front of the motel and the back is quieter, so we chose the back room. We could only park one of our cars there, which was fine because there was plenty of parking on the local streets. The room was pretty clean but not spotless. The bed was comfortable but the pillow is oddly shaped for me. I feel like it had me craning my head/neck up instead of letting me rest my head back. The noise of the air conditioning unit also made it impossible for me to sleep, thankfully I brought ear plugs but I still could hear a little when it would turn on and off. We didn't use the fridge, coffee maker, or the shower so I can't write about those amenities. Not sure I would stay here again but it served us fine that night.

Crystal Lodge Motel is a very small motel that is well located in Ventura's business core. It is an old property that has been recently updated. The only amenity is coffee and a coffee maker in the room. The price is the reason to stay here.

Kitchen in room, many options for food within walking distance.

Good beds…very quiet at night…the gentleman who checked us in named Bobby was super nice and helpful…good location Unfortunately the power went off in the morning….no one was to blame but inconvenient…there should be lights by the bed…maybe a box of Kleenex would be nice…my sheet had lipstick marks and a rip in the sheets…but I got a new one..

It wasn’t as it looks like, it smells like roach poison. Found a dead one next to the fridge. Property took my salad and my smoothie I bought from Trader Joe’s. Very disappointed, my food was not disposable.

Great budget motel. Clean, friendly staff, quiet Mattttress a little soft, but that might be me.

My family and I had a great time here, the front desk was very helpful and welcoming. The motel is close to multiple things 5-10 minutes away from everything we wanted to do. Thank you.

The staff was very sweet and the shower was my favorite part.

The restroom was nicely restored, crown molding was good I got insulted as soon as the guy saw me . I am 43 with my front part of hair gray and I’m disabled so he also saw my cane and told my husband that is way older and he’s 50 saying is this your mom!!!! How insulting I felt . Then u can hear kids or girls running around back and forth . I still couldn’t believe that was rude and if a person is disabled why put them upstairs

Clean beds, parking is quite tight. Our room is at the back of the property so we can see the laundry piles. Price wise it’s good. Parking but I guess because of the location of the building.

Staff was very kind, attentive and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Beaches a short drive, restaurant's, coffee walking distance. Thank you!! Not much to dislike.. Its a small older hotel but managed well, comfortable bed and very clean. We´ll stay there again.

Clean, nicely decorated, solid furnishings, functional, quiet! Bobby at the front desk was very friendly and efficient. Shower head needed a little attention. It was spraying erratically and into the soap dish. Good water pressure though.

Superb

The owner was super friendly and even gave us a room upgrade so that all 3 of us could sleep in our own bed. The room was clean and spacious; it looked like it has been recently renovated. The kitchen was large and so was the bathroom. We truly enjoyed our stay, this place is a hidden gem. No breakfast

the room was modern and clean. Staff was helpfull. Well worth the money.
