Stayed in room 18. Outside entry door was some trash and lots if leaves and looked messy. Inside kitchen window curtin filthy. Seating furniture old and seemed not clean. Missing some plates and glasses and bowls but manager said not to worry even though room poster says $350.00 charge for missing items. Toaster did not work. Manager said should have tried another outlet. Shower was awesome but shower curtin should be replaced. Kitchen a benefit. Bed comfortable. Park in front of room door was nice.

Large room, well done decor nice management

It claims free parking. But, only a couple spots are available. We had to park down the street.

The staff was very nice. There were tweekers and weirdos bothering me and my girlfriend constantly. A hooker from upstairs with a black eye was having a horrible day. Weird people walking around the property.

Place was perfect and exceeded our expectations Nothing! Liked it all!

The man running the place was great. Super helpful and accommodating. But they did not have much staff to help him out. The place was not very clean. Everything is old.

Location, friendly owners. The room was not fancy but adequate for our needs. We're not fussy.

Everything was great.

I absolutely loved staying here-- it completely exceeded my expectations. The room was incredibly spacious, and the staff was welcoming, amiable, and generous from the start. The room was clean and everything we needed for a one-night trip to Ventura. In the morning, the coffee was delicious, and the staff continued to show utmost respect and generosity in making the stay absolutely worth it. It was so reasonably priced for such an incredible, accommodating space.

Large Room, Big Kitchen with all amenities that exceeded my expectations

Great place for big families. Very accommodating highly recommend

Parking is very limited. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable based on my liking at least. There was a weak unpleasant smell in the room and the floors were sticky in some areas.

We were charged but did not stay because the desk lady could not speak English and we couldn't understand her No refund

Large rooms with full kitchen. Multiple beds. Walking distance from cafe.

This motel is good for a one- or two-night stay in central Ventura, not far from the old downtown and close to restaurants and the beach. The beds were excellent and the linens clean. One plus is that there is a small kitchen in each unit, completely equipped with sink, refrigerator, stove and microwave. Since this is an older property (dating from the 30s-40s), there are lots of windows and great air circulation. The neighborhood was quiet, and the motel guests were also quiet. It was a comfortable stay, but there needs to be a lot more work done on this older property. The property is undergoing renovation and some rooms are probably in better condition than others. The motel has limited parking availability, and there's not much space for parking on nearby streets. The property has had a new paint job and a bit of cute decoration; also, room locks are digital/modernized. However, the stairway to the upstairs rooms has very dirty and worn out carpeting, and there is no ice machine or trash receptacle outside near the lobby. Also, many improvements still need to be made to some of the rooms. For example, the carpet in our room (upstairs, no. 12) was worn and dirty. The grout and sealant in the bathrooms is moldy/dirty and needs regrouting. The knobs on the interior doors are old and there is no metal catch on the door frames, it's just rough and deteriorated wood. The curtains are cheap and look very drab - towels are rather thin, and the soap/shampoo/conditioner is of poor quality with a cheap smell. The kitchen floor, counters and wood cabinets all need replacing, too. The room needs more lamps, and there are not enough electrical sockets. The photos of the rooms on Booking.com clearly are of rooms that have been already renovated. But ours was not! However, I do think the owners are doing their best to improve each room and the motel exterior as funds become available. In spite of these problems, I would return to this motel for one or two nights.

Super customer service oriented. Don't let the small property fool you! The cleanliness is great, there was a full kitchen and the cleanliness was up to par. Plus, the hot water in the shower was amazing. It seemed like an updated room. In my opinion, it's an amazing value! We will definitely be back. I truly recommend. They even come in and clean the room and after a long day of events it was definitely appreciated ? The wifi was spotty, that being said, they did allow us on their private network which resolved the issue! No complaints here!
