Howard Johnson by Wyndham Vicksburg

Main room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Bathroom was older and dirty. A quarter sized spider came out of the drain in the tub when I opened it, and the first bath towel I pulled out was clean but stained with maybe hair dye or makeup. Breakfast was more like very light snacks. Here's what they had--white bread with a toaster and butter and jelly, oatmeal packets, a dozen mini muffins, coffee, orange juice, and apple juice. That was it.

The room was clean, but the housekeeping service came in and did our towels which is fine. But we never could get anymore towels, so we had to use small hand towels.

Decent area close to highway. Food in walking distance.

For what this was for us, a one-night stopover off the interstate, it was fine. The beds were clean and there was no egregious dirtiness in the room in general. Some of the fixtures have aged and gotten rusty or cracked which looks gross, but is fine. The advertised continental breakfast leaves a little to be desired. Muffins, granola bars, coffee, and juice were on offer, so just keep expectations low in that department.

Parking

Just know your getting what you pay for. Spend the few extra for a nicer hotel.

I was not satisfied with this stay, housekeeping needs to do better jobs of making sure the rooms are clean, especially the restrooms. People are paying their hard earned money to stay at a clean, comfortable, and safe facility.

The owners kept walking the property checking tags and questioning about the comings and goings of my kids

This hotel is fine for a quick night cap… bed was comfortable, ac was cold, shower had high pressure. The hotel room ceiling was peeling off, the bathtub needed caulking, the pool pump was out so no swimming, and the breakfast is grab and go. Good coffee. More than one or two nights is asking a lot…

We had an accessible room that was just what we needed. The staff went above and beyond to help me correct a mistake I made when booking because I am not good at online maneuvering stuff. She helped me through my confusion.
