Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Virginia Beach (Oceanfront)

Our room was on the 5th floor, ocean view with balcony. Looked to have been updated fairly recently. My sister and I absolutely loved having the balcony to relax and enjoy the views of the ocean and boardwalk. The breakfast was exceptional. The staff were always pleasant when interacting. Room was clean and comfortable. The only issues, which were minor, were the bed I slept in was a little worn out and lopsided, the sliding door track to the balcony was bent and sometimes difficult to open as well as the outer shower door, which was also on tracks. Our first trip to Virginia Beach and we will definitely be returning and would absolutely stay at this hotel again! Thank you!

Had to ask 3 times and waited 5 hours for fresh towels. Also had to go down to front desk to ask for toilet paper.

Clean

It was a nice stay for the night. The rooms looked renovated. The location was on the boardwalk. I would stay there again

Our stay overall was great. Employees are wonderful and nice, ice machine issue and pool was cold.

The rooms as well as the hotel in general are well kept and clean. Each room has a balcony that you are able to sit out and view the ocean from. We stayed on the ground floor and though I wasn’t sure if I would like being so low, it worked out perfectly for my family as we have an 11yr old son who had his motorized scooter with him and in turn was going on bike path rides throughout our stay. The bike path is directly behind the hotel and cars do not have access so it’s really a wonderful spot for kids his age who are seeking some independence and parents can feel comfortable knowing vehicle traffic won’t be an issue. Our being on the ground floor was perfect as we were able to step over the railing and be on the path or meet him very easily. I was initially concerned about bugs crawling inside our room but that didn’t happen, and we kept our balcony door open fairly frequently. The staff were very kind, always greeting us when we came or went from the hotel and were receptive to any needs we had. We booked a room that came with breakfast which was an actual hot breakfast which was good, however if I were to make a suggestion, I would suggest that changing the breakfast options up. Overall this hotel was wonderful.

The receptionists were terrible! They had a bad attitude with the customers! I asked how long it was going to take for me to get the room and she said, “Go ask the people who clean the rooms, I don’t know her name but she was terrible!

The staff was super friendly, room was very nice and had all the amenities we needed. It was great for our trip to the beach

We had a good time. The staff that welcomed us was very nice. Shower was still a bit dirty when we arrived. However that didn't make our trip bad. The breakfast was alright. When I went to check out the lady working the front desk wasn't very friendly or didn't seem to be happy she had to work. My 9 yo suggested screen doors so we can sleep with the slide door open without bug issues. Lol but over all everything was great for a last minute trip.

Everything except some bugs

Breakfast was only served till 9am and was the same food everyday. We had to set an alarm to make it down to breakfast. Could use a little variety, there only so many days you can eat scrambled eggs and sausage. Housekeeping was supposed to come in on day 3 of our stay, never saw them, but did get fresh towels every morning. However they were knocking on the door at 8:30 in the morning. Most people on vacation like to sleep in a little. Also Ice machine didn’t work for 2 days on any floor, only ice was on the 1st floor.

Room was dirty and stank, shower filthy. Noisy, they were renovating the room next door, so no choice but to get up early,

Great room for a quick visit and a perfect spot for the fireworks. Breakfast was a treat

Needing more room clean services. Counter staff was helpful and nice.

Pool was cloudy. Ceiling in room had peeling paint. Toilet wasn’t working properly handle got stuck view was great beach access was great facility was clean staff was always helpful breakfast was great

It is a family-friendly hotel.

The hotel was comfortable. I was a little dissatisfied about the pool. It is small and the water either had a lot of Clorox but was very cloudy. It also had some sand in it.

Nice, clean rooms, on the beach. Convenient to shopping, restaurants

The rooms weren’t the cleanest… we received push back when trying to get a full clean. And the air in the hall and elevators did not work.
