The hotel has a very good location. There are many restaurants and supermarkets nearby, all within easy walking distance. The public restrooms are right next to the hotel, as are the showers, which is excellent when you want easy access after spending a good amount of time in the ocean. I think that may be one of the reasons for the somewhat higher cost of the stay. We were given a corner balcony room, so the oceanfront view was fantastic. Our room was a suite, and the living room had a view of the street/city. There was also another small window on the side of the room. My only issue with that window is that they should install a curtain instead of having only blinds, since a lot of light came in during the morning. The bathrooms also need some remodeling, as they were already showing signs of wear and tear. The same was true of the knobs on one of the bedroom doors. The staff was pleasant and friendly, and I really liked how clean the rooms were, which made the stay much more comfortable despite some of the wear and tear throughout the room. Overall, it was a very good experience, and I would stay at this hotel again. It just needs a little more remodeling to make it look more modern and welcoming

The location is great. Pretty central to everything. Bathroom area could use a little updating, maybe more mirrors and electrical sockets as there were 4 women in my group getting ready for a concert. We had dinner at the onsite restaurant. Service was pretty slow for the amount of patrons that were being served but the food was good. I thought it was nice that we could pay to park a second car but being told that it was $20 and cash only was a little awkward. The parking pass was good until noon the day we departed. We wanted to go to the beach for a couple of hour before heading home but when I asked if we could park for another hour, the answer was sure but that will be $20 cash and it would good for 24 hours. Needless to say, we were out by noon. There were plenty of parking spaces available and I thought it was ridiculous to ask us to pay another $20 cash.

I’ve been staying at this hotel on and off for years and always have a great experience each time! The hotel is always kept meticulous.. The beds are comfortable and The staff is always friendly and accommodating! Beyond their control, the building was built with only one elevator for eight floors, so don’t expect to go anywhere in a hurry and if it breaks down, you’re in big trouble! Parking gets tight, but they do have an overflow area reserved around the corner behind another building, this is common for a lot of hotels on the Boardwalk. All the rooms have ocean views and the hotel has an indoor pool & restaurant!

I booked room #205 which shares a huge, 2nd floor balcony w/ 3 other rooms. Great space to entertain guests while overlooking VA Beach & the Boardwalk. Perfect people watching perch! Room has small fridge/freezer, wet bar, microwave. Plenty of room. Perfect location!

One thing I really liked about the hotel was the location. It was only about a 3-minute walk to where we wanted to go, which was very convenient. I understand that hotels can have staffing issues, but that should not become the guest’s problem. I had driven for 6 hours with my young son, and I expected to be able to check in at the scheduled 4:00 PM time. When I explained that I had paid for a room with a 4:00 PM check-in, the response from the receptionist was very rude and unprofessional. I understand that delays can happen, but I believe guests should be treated with respect and courtesy, especially after a long trip with a child. The way this situation was handled made my arrival very stressful and left me disappointed with the hotel. Also the pool was awful !!!! Never again
