Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront

The room was very clean and comfortable, which I really appreciated. However, I was disappointed that there wasn’t an outdoor pool or a designated area to rinse the sand off before entering the hotel. Because of that, sand was being tracked into the hotel and ended up in the pool as well. Overall, the cleanliness of the room was great, but having a place to rinse off after the beach would definitely improve the experience.

Location was great and overall it was very clean. There was a parking fee of $23 a day I was unaware of. I also requested early check in and didn’t get in until almost 3 anyhow. I did not pay this last year and they told me it was new this year and I didn’t know bc I used a third party site.

I enjoyed my stay at the Fairfield Va. Beach, the hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely will stay there again!

We appreciated staff allowing us to park, use bathrooms and access to beach before our check in time. Our room was even ready before check in time. But when we did check in, we were offered a room on the first floor, right next to the pool and exit doors. When we entered the room, there a was a strong odor of mildew/mold, and seeing it was located right next to the oil and exit doors, we asked for a different room. We were told it was the last one with double beds, and the only other room they had left was right next door, with a king size. I was disappointed, because I had reserved this room several weeks in advance, and it felt like the worst two rooms were being offered to me at the time, the rooms no one else wanted to take, due to location and smell. If I was a walk in, last minute reservation, maybe then I would of been ok with it, even then, for the price you expect a clean smelling room, in a location that’s going to allow you to sleep at night. The opening and closing to the exit doors could be heard off and on. It was ok for the 2 nights we were there, but won’t be returning.

Only complaint was asking for toilet paper 3 times at the front desk, they didn't have any and they never sent it up like they said they would. Luckily the house keeping would hook us up, when asked them directly. They need to work on that 🙄

Exceptional

I love the upgrade in furniture & design in the rooms and dining area. Also the installation of additional lighting in the parking lot . Great safety enhancement. There are 2 complaints . Number one is the mattresses. The mattresses need to be replaced . The mattress in our room was very lumpy, bumpy and uncomfortable. They need to be replaced. The breakfast menu is terrible. Cold precooked scrambled eggs, greasy microwave bacon , microwave sausage & hard microwave potatoes. Our stay of 6 nights with terrible microwave eggs, bacon, potatoes and sausage. Terrible. Need a better menu no frozen microwave foods. Mattress geta a thumb down & breakfast thumbs down.

My husband & I enjoyed our stay at Fairfield Inn & Suites/Virginia Beach. The property was well taken care of & the room was very clean. The complinary breakfast was great also. Mckenzie the front desk attendant was awesome & very friendly. We look forward to our next stay at Fairfield Inn & Suites.

It was our first time in this hotel…

I didn't like that I had booked two rooms and we couldn't get them on the same floor.

Stayed 3 days and never had my room cleaned. Housekeeping was horrible; she had a bad attitude and the only thing I asked for was for my bed sheets to be changed and she told me I needed to wait until later on after she was done with her check in rooms. Completely unacceptable. Especially after being there for 2 days and not being able to have clean sheets. Won’t be staying there again!

El garage tiene una altura limitada y nuestro carro tenia un caja que no nos permitia parquear en el garage y el personal nos ayudo a tener un parqueo siempre disponible afuera. Mil gracias

Everything was Great including the breakfast. The only thing I can say other than excellent stay is that parking is very tight but for the most part i will be returning.

Great location at the beach, Clean and nice room with a great view to the ocean. Parking is available in the property with an additional cost but fair enough price.

The room was clean, the staff was helpful, and the breakfast that was included with your stay was good. It even stayed open a little later for late comers. There were only two small issues that I wanted to bring to the forefront. We had several Rooms convoy. We are all Marriott Bonvoy members. We asked for late checkouts. And different rooms in our group got different late checkout times. I didn’t know that happened with Marriott Bonvoy. Secondly the foot shower right at the hotel was not working. Everybody stopped there to wash their feet, but there was no water. So everybody walked into the hotel sandy. They even cleaned their feet off in the indoor pool, making that sandy..Otherwise you would have to go down to 18th St. or 20th St. A simple sign would help.

The stay was excellent, nice customer service. Ocean front view was so nice and relaxing. We always recommend this hotel to anyone.

The staff were all super helpful and kind. The fireworks were awesome outside our hotel Wednesday and Sunday. Only downside was Saturday the restaurant next to hotel played music late. Besides that it was best hotel and decent firm bed as well.

Our wad stay was very pleasant. We will be coming back again. Very easy access to the beach. The staff was very, very pleasant and enjoyed our stay very much.
