Coastal Hotel and Suites Virginia Beach Oceanfront

Not going to lie I was scared to book another hotel online. Do to the last time the hotel was horrible. But my husband and I were pleasantly surprised. The staff was super nice clear down to the housekeeper. My two girls brought blankets from home and each brought one of their favorite Stuffies the blankets were neatly folded same thing that we were 100% not expecting. Stuffies were nicely propped on the pillow waiting for them to come back to the hotel. This is an amazing place for families it's basically a room with a small hallway leading to another room with a door. And being a parent on vacation with two kids it was nice to be able to Slide the door shut and having a little bit of privacy. And not to mention the fact that it had a balcony it was so nice to get up in the morning before my kids got up and watched the sunrise over the beach. I was surprised my husband's already talking about rebooking for next year with the this same exact Hotel. I would 100% recommend this hotel to anybody with kids or even without.

The staff at check-in was warm, welcoming and professional. The suite was clean and well maintained. The one thing that was not up to standard was the iron, it would not steam and cut off repeatedly while using. But that was not an issue because I could have asked for an exchange but never got around to it. I would recommend Coastal Hotel and Suites to anyone, couples, families or individuals I think you will fine this place to be a repeat visit.

2nd time at this hotel and it didn't disappoint. Staff was very friendly, everything was very clean and the breakfast was extensive and delicious. We had a room with 2 bedrooms with 2 king beds and it was spacious for all 4 of us (adults). It had a great view of the beach from the balcony and was right on the beach, so a short walk to the ocean. We loved it! The only thing I would improve is to have some healthier options for breakfast, such as greek yogurt, more fruit options, nuts and granola.

Rooms were very large. Loved the setup so kids could be in the back room and adults on the balcony. Slightly dated but still very good. We thoroughly enjoyed. Breakfast was delicious too.

This was our third year in a row staying at Coastal Suites. We LOVE it there. The staff is very friendly (Bonnie is a Saint) the property is well maintained, and with stunning ocean views and a better than most breakfast every morning, Coastal cant be beat. We will be back...again!

The staff was wonderful. Location is great! Breakfast was also good. The walls are very thin. Can hear everything next door. There needs to be a little concierge area with food and drinks and other necessities that people need. Vending machines had limited drinks and food and some were empty of some items or not functional. Even though there are signs everywhere that say no smoking, vaping or weed... there were still people smoking weed IN the hotel and the hallway smelled of weed at times...

Only 2 washers and 2 dryers for guests and one broke during stay...Definitely need more washers and dryers for a beachfront hotel! Breakfast during the week 730 to 930 plan accordingly if you are leaving early for off site excursions.

Overall a mixed bag. Room Rates are high due to peak tourist time.

Rooms were clean, had daily housekeeping which you don’t always see in a post COVID world. The beds were in the soft side but comfortable. The side of the room with the balcony was bright even with drapes closed and the room was a bit stuffy with the door closed on that side. Maintenance even changed the A/C filter. Breakfast was good and varied a bit each day. The pool and hot tub were clean. Overall enjoyed our stay.
