Seaview Hotel

The pool was an indoor pool which is fine but it was a little too hot and humid to be in to the point of being uncomfortable but aside from that the staff was extremely friendly and helpful!!!!!!

The first thing we noticed was the door leading to the elevator. It was extremely rusty and looked disgusting. Honestly, I was hesitant to even go through it. When we got to our room (602), things didn't improve. The bed had stains on it, including what looked like skid marks on the main comforter. The bedding looked dingy and unclean. The chair in the room was heavily stained and dirty to the point that I wouldn't even sit in it. The balcony was another major concern. When I touched the railing, it moved. Upon closer inspection, I noticed there was a missing screw on the upper left side, allowing the railing to move freely. It felt unsafe, and with enough pressure, I believe it could have failed completely. I called the front desk and requested a different room. I was told one would be available the following day. In the meantime, I asked for extra sheets so we could cover the chair and comforter. The next day, we were moved to room 1006. It was better, but still had issues. Some electrical outlets were missing cover plates, and one outlet was positioned behind the bed so that anything plugged into it would get pushed into the wall. This seemed dangerous. The carpet was also old, worn, and frayed. However, the room was noticeably cleaner than the first one. We ended up staying because the view was beautiful, and I guess you get what you pay for. That said, we will not be returning. In the future, I'd rather pay a little more for a cl

Balcony and beach view was amazing! We saw dolphins every day we spent there from our balcony! The staff are very nice and helpful. We asked for a room on the top floor upon booking and we were given just that. We really enjoyed our stay and we will be back in the future!

The location was perfect, and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. A continental breakfast would have been a nice added touch and would have made the stay even better.

The hallways were narrow, and there were no luggage carts available. When we reached our room, we noticed immediately that the beds advertised as queen-size were actually doubles, and the room was extremely warm. Although the AC was set to 60 degrees, the room felt closer to 80. The kitchenette had several issues as well. The refrigerator was frozen over, one of the legs was broken, and it wasn’t working at all. After reporting this to the front desk, they brought a replacement, but that unit also had problems—the temperature control button was broken off, so it couldn’t be adjusted. My grandson wanted to watch TV, but there was no signal. When I checked the cable connection, I found the outlet pulled out of the wall with wires hanging loose. I was scheduled to stay for three nights, but after all of this, I checked out the next morning. The hotel did refund two nights without hesitation, which I appreciated, but the rooms need major repairs and upgrades—not just the lobby. They also advertised a continental breakfast, but there was none available.

Good stay with wonderful ocean view

Beautiful view and directly on the boardwalk. There were fireworks right outside our window!! Our room was good except that our tub had no stopper, the conditioner was super runny, the elevator took a long time we were waiting for a bit. Hallways are super hot. Overall a nice stay for a day trip!

Location was excellent, had a concert at the dome that was an easy 8 minute walk away. The balcony looking over the ocean was lovely, and beach access is right there. The staff, Zoey in particular, were so friendly and kind and helped me figure out how to open the screen door. The building is quite old, and the AC was leaking all night and left the part of the floor closest to the sliding door soaking. I didn’t even have to mention it to the staff though, they knew it was a problem and let me know they are in the process of fixing it. It did not affect my experience though. Doors are also really loud and would shake my door. I thought someone was knocking every time someone closed their door. Again, old building.

Great position on the beach & boardwalk

The microwave did not work in our room. The door to the balcony was half broken. There was only one chair on the balcony for two people the lamp and the plugs by the bed beds did not work the phone to call downstairs did not work. The juice machine downstairs that they say they have every single one of them was filled with water instead of what it was labeled lemonade was not there. It was water. The other juice was the same way. It was OK for the price next year. We’ll look for another beachfront property.

The place was great the only thing they didn't have no breakfast.

Overall it was ok. I cleaned my own room no sheets was offered I was there for 4 days. I was never asked if I wanted the room cleaned. There was never enough towels and when housekeeping was seen it was every 2 days. Trash was never collected we put it in the hallway.

I really liked this hotel, I ended up staying an extra day so this is for the other review too. Staff were very nice, the lady up front and the manager were super helpful and very respectful. The only thing that through me off was when I was first checking in a guy said to me that he needed to check and make sure my room is clean. It was, so it was fine, but what if it wasn’t.. that’s weird to me. This is my first hotel alone and I don’t know it through me off.. The guy was super nice though, just the situation was weird. The room was really nice and I settled in real quick. I love the beach view and being so close to the beach and so close to the “strip.” It was an amazing area and I ate all the raw oysters my body could handle. Will proably book this hotel again when I come back to Va beach! Thanks again to the lady upfront and the manager for helping me book the other day, I really appreciate it!!

I had a great stay. The room was clean and had everything I needed. The air conditioning worked great. I had a nice view. The staff was friendly. I would book here again.

Beware of people coming in off the beach late and night, the noise was a bit loud.

The bathtub drain was clogged I was reporting at first night and not one was showing for fixing refrigerator wasn’t working properly too no paper toilet in bathroom at arrived time The sink in the bathroom was broken
