Amazing stay. Everything was perfect

Restaurant was poorly maintained and dirty. Valet service was a very slow, Ice maker didn't work. Other than that it was fine. NEVER AGAIN! Oh, the restaurant and bar were nearly empty and it took several attempts to get a beer. Worst hotel experience in my life!!

This was the hotel we always stayed whenever we went to Virginia Beach, but this time it was very disappointing. The location of the hotel is good, close to nice restaurants, close to the Neptune. The front desk staff was friendly and quick to respond. The elevator was bumping, didn't feel very safe. When I asked the housekeeper to vacuum my room, he said no vacuum. I asked for the 2 complementary bottles of water of the day, he seemed not understand what I said, after I insisted, he gave to me. Of course the following day, he didn't give us the water after cleaning the room. The breakfast used to be quite nice, they have omelet and French toast. But this time on the first day, their waffle machine was not working, also there was only one. The bananas were rotten.

Elevators were slow and it broke down in our second night but they got it fixed next day. Also I have a guy used his digital key and opened my room. He claimed he was trying to open his room 504 and accidentally unlocked my room. This is a security breach and needs to be fix soon otherwise I would not stay there again.

Check in was terrible- didn’t get room till 7:15pm and my kids were sleeping in the lobby after I was trying to entertain them in the heat. Had to order dinner and eat in the lobby. I was given free valet and breakfast which was nice but still terrible check in. Overall stay was okay. Breakfast staff were nice and helpful! Pool towels barely available so bring your own! They don’t keep it stocked and after asking over 3 hour several times I gave up and luckily had a few towels I brought.

Exceptional

I booked an oceanfront room, when I walked into my room I saw a family and a dog out in what I thought was my balcony. Well it wasn’t because my balcony was also in the public sundeck, so I had to close my curtains right at sunset which I’d loved to have seen but didn’t want to be looking right at a family eating a meal and hanging out right outside my door. So my only ocean views were a quick walk down to the beach. There was also a dog barking from the moment I checked until at least 11:00 pm, I was told maintenance would go Che k it out but it continued. Also if you’re in a rush the elevators take forever and the roundabout you pull into to Che k in gets extremely backed up. It wasn’t great but the room was very clean I will say that.

The hotel was very close to the oceanfront. We were close enough to various restaurants that we could hop on a trolley and be there within 10 minutes. We liked that there was a restaurant downstairs too. The pool area was not clean, and several things were broken, including tiles in the pool with sharp edges. The photos of the pool looked much nicer than the reality. The balcony was small, and the cooling unit return was on the balcony, so it pushed hot air right next to you. The pillows were not comfortable, and both my husband and I fought headaches after waking up.

Things that should change, More people working in Valet. We had to wait a very long time to unload. There were not enough luggage rolling carriers. There was one gentleman working Valet on Saturday! Line was out in the street waiting. He was very kind and doing the best he could do. Went to an early dinner at Waterman’s and there were at least ten men working. There was a large group of people at the pool with children doing a LOT of drinking. It made us very uncomfortable with our small children.

The room was nice we had an end room very nice windows however the pool was very dirty dead bug on floor ring of dirt around pool hair weave and trash on the floor. Another thing I didn’t appreciate was I was hit with a 60.00 charged that should have been a refund per my receipt regarding parking when I called regarding it I was hung up on, when I called back I was put on hold and then when I tried to call back no one answered so customer service was horrible would not stay there again.
