The staff was nice and friendly. The hotel had a nice atmosphere and pretty visuals. I had a problem with my booking. I've booked through Booking.com for the past 12 years at this same time each year. Five days and four nights. Somehow they messed up my reservation this time and I ended up with an ocean view rooms instead of an oceanfront room. Actually I had 2 rooms reserved. This is the first time I've had more than 1 guest with me. I was extremely disappointed & somewhat embarrassed. I contacted booking.com and they said they were going to try to get my rooms switched. It never happened. Also the AC unit was leaking in one of the rooms. I reported it Thursday, but it never got fixed. I was more disappointed with Booking.com than Sheraton.

Bottom line, I booked with this hotel because it was rated 7.6 out of 10 and I guess I expected more with those ratings.

Our room was hot, the A/C was not working. It didn’t turn on until the next day at around 7am. Not sure if it was internally programmed to turn on only at a certain time. But for the price we paid, it should have been working the night we stayed.

Location was ok, staff was great

Signage for fitness room, pool, etc., could have better directed guests.

Throughout our trip, we dealt with constant disruptions: We barely slept at all. *Smoke Detector: Alarmed (started chirping) at 1:00 AM requiring a battery change. *Wi-Fi: Completely non-functional, and unable to fix, in our room. *Air Conditioner: Sounded like a jet engine, waking us every time it cycled on (approximately every 30-45 minutes). *Patio Door: Ground-floor sliding door to the pool stuck so badly it required massive effort to open or close; two maintenance calls failed to fix it. The real nightmare breakdown occurred at 2:15 AM on night three. While we were sound asleep, the heavy (~70 lb) wall-mounted headboard pulled free from the wall and crashed down on both of us. We had to lift this weight off of us in order to even call for help. It was completely unacceptable and dangerous, we were lucky to not have been injured much more severely. The night manager and security did provide us another room, but as we repacked at 3:00 AM, the heavy glass shower door derailed from its track and pinned my wife inside the shower as she was retrieving some shampoo. Security had to help her get free. Had the glass shattered, the outcome could have been catastrophic. This property suffers from extreme, unsafe maintenance neglect.

We really liked the hotel's location, its cleanliness, and the very friendly staff. I didn't like that the room wasn't ready until almost an hour after check-in. There weren't enough supplies for the five of us—for example, there weren't enough sheets, coffee, or bathroom soap—and what I found most unacceptable was that the room reservation was charged to my account twice.

Overall our stay was nice. There was confusion over the type of room but I did live the beach access.
