Courtyard by Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront/North 37th Street

the room was very clean n well maintained. the view from the balcony was amazing and directly in front of the beach making it perfect for sunrise n sunset pics. As well as pics of the moonlit ocean. I will consider this place again on my next trip back to Virginia Beach.

the view was so lovely. front desk lady was very nice and welcoming. but..as soon as I walked in the room it smelled so bad like armpits and sweaty a**. I can’t describe that smell but it was coming from the air vent in the room…so everytime you turned the ac on it smelled sooo bad. the sheets had a big red stain on it and little hairs. the sink wouldn’t drain properly. the sofa bed was soooooo hard :( the pool I would give a 8/10. I loved the rocks with the waterfalls. also the bar tender guy at the pool was amazing. overall I would give my experience a 6.5/10.

This is our second time staying at this hotel and by far the best for a beach vacation traveling with teens. The rooms are very spacious and always clean. The property is well maintaines, safe and quiet. The balcony is cozy and big enough. The pool is always well kept and clean. The staff was very helpful, friendly and welcoming. The only thing I would hope for next vacation is if they had multiple washers and dryers and was updated. Overall this is a great hotel we plan on booking every year!

The suite was everything I needed. Location was perfect and the view was great! The sofa-bed was reasonably comfortable for sleeping, but not for sitting.

Not enough carts when travelers are checking in and out. Staff members not to worried about it. It causes problems when people can’t bring their luggage in or out.

I love the pool. The door to our room was hard to open. The sink was plugged and I told them and they fixed it right away. The bathroom needs updating. The view was beautiful! Parking was $20.00 a night. 2 handicaps parking spots. The parking was awful!

The lobby was clean as well as the rooms. They had over flow parking if needed across the street. Definitely would stay there again.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. There was a soiled bathing suit liner left on the balcony from a previous guest, ick! The bottom of the tub looked very dingy. The doorknob to our bathroom was old and rusty. The windows facing the beach were dirty, obviously not cleaned for a while. All of these reasons made us feel as though this Marriott property was substandard to others where we’ve stayed. We visit Virginia Beach annually, mostly to celebrate birthdays or our wedding anniversary. We made the front desk aware that we were celebrating our 49th anniversary during our stay; no mention of it during our stay from any of the staff. This was a first.

The staff and location were excellent. Could use more carts for luggage. The room was clean but could use a refresh. If not servicing rooms daily a few extra towels would be nice.

All great No complimentary breakfast, No free parking. Hotels with ocean front view that doesn't have the same quality as the Marriott, have complimentary breakfast and free parking your rooms aren't cheap I wish the Marriott had complimentary breakfast and free parking covered in the price per-night would be more acceptable. I booked through booking.com a third party booking agency. I was under the impression breakfast and parking was included in the price we paid to stay at your lovely establishment. Thanks to Megan who helped us with our parking issues, but not the complimentary breakfast issue. Megan approved complimentary parking. We appreciate Megan's help.
