Holiday Inn & Suites Virginia Beach North Beach by IHG

The view and location were breathtaking! We were in the north tower. The balcony door was very difficult to open. The hair dryer had to be replaced. This particular room should not have been occupied. There were n̈o pool towels for our last two days of stay, so we had to BUY pool towels. Finally, I booked through booking.com, however, the hotel still charged me. It took one month to get my money back! The pool and the facility needed repair. And new management.

Looked like the shower was not cleaned, hairs, water around the front. On the beach it is difficult to maintain a clean window with the salt air, but windows were not clean on top and had lots of streaks on the lower end. The sliding glass door to the balcony was a workout!!! VERY heavy and difficult to slide - perhaps needs some WD-40. The Keurig worked once. Finally figured out that I had to hold the front panel to get the mechanism to heat and work through the cycle. Free self parking across the street so that is a plus along with full ocean view. On the north end of the boardwalk away from high volume crowds and riff-raff. For me, that's a plus.

I really enjoy staying here on my trips to Virginia Beach. Always a nice stay

The location of the hotel was great. Weather made it unable for us to utilize the beach and outdoor pool area. Quick and easy check in. Kids saw a movie in the theater. They are renovating and it was a bit of an inconvenience that we could use only one elevator. The appearance of the cut off area was a bit unappealing. The suite had one bathroom and it was only in the bedroom which was a bit of an inconvenience for the sofa bed occupants. The carpet was damp due to the dampness outside.

The pools and restaurants are nice

Location was nice. View was nice. Front desk staff was nice. Beds were hard.Toilet leaked water on the floor. Whats usually a complimentary breakfast costed me $60+ dollars and I didnt know it till it was too late. Had to pay for basic parking, never had to do that before. Atm was out of order. Ice machine was out of order. Elevator was off and on out of order. One night the power went off and on about 6 times.

Right on the beach everything was clean always staff available and ready to help although we never need them movies every night was pretty cool multiple pools always stocked with towels my room was stocked with towels and washer and dryer were free which definitely grateful for it was great stay breakfast was great with a great view and even the staff there except the host was amazing The elevator was soooo slow both of them, also there is apparently a discrepancy with the ages for the children who are free to stay in the room and the children who get a free breakfast which I would have been ok with, except for that fact the host at the breakfast area was very rude and had attitude our first morning there when we were leaving about the children’s ages who also showed late to work, might be beneficial to find a new host for breakfast

I really liked the room, the space, and the view. I didn't like how an elevator was very beat up looking and sounded like it was on its way out. I also didn't like how the only ice maker available during my two night stay was all the way downstairs by the square whale restaurant.

To begin with our room wasn't ready when we arrived for check in. Not a problem really because we had to go to the grocery store, but we didn't like leaving all of our luggage in the car. Then our room didn't get restocked with towels until the day after I had to go to the front desk to request more

Fabulous location and view from our oceanfront room! The mattress was very firm and uncomfortable. Front desk staff was excellent as well as Isle of Capri staff, housekeeping staff was just ok. We enjoyed all the restaurants, pools and the hot tub. We would stay again.

room was clean and beach view was good. The microwave did not work. Shower stall could use replacing. Sliding glass door and curtains difficult to open. The sliding glass door windows need replacing, could not see ocean from inside the room. Booked through Expedia but bill was higher than you told us.

Property is in the middle of renovations. The rooms that are not done yet, don't show on the site. It leads you to believe you are getting a renovated room. We were not aware of the work going on, based on the website. We got an old room and did not enjoy it. The restaurant info wasn't updated either. One of them had actually closed. They had only a breakfast buffet up in the main restaurant. It was unappealing. So just be careful when booking here. The location was perfect. It was just misleading.
