Moxy Virginia Beach Oceanfront

We got a free drink with check-in, which was nice. This brand tends to have less storage in the rooms, which was consistent, but we found it more spacious than another location we have stayed. For a beach trip, it's totally fine. The atmosphere of the lobby/bar/patio is great, and that is where we spent the bull of our time. With as lively as those areas are, the noise level on the bedroom levels was really low, which was nice.

Great stay on the beach. The staff was very helpful and very nice! The bar was great! I stayed with my dog and the hotel was very accommodating.

Clean room friendly staff location

Last minute holiday for us and this was one of the only rooms left-THANK GOODNESS. This was such a great experience. Clean, safe, quiet, great pool, friendly staff and a perfect location on the Boardwalk. We will definitely be back!!!

Great place

The rooms are not very clean or maintained. We had bugs and a broken sliding curtain that made getting to the balcony hard with our having to walk all through the curtains. The pool is also not well maintained. It lacks any life and is filled with sand and is extremely dirty. Not appealing to look at, at all! After telling the front deck of our room issues, no one ever came to address them or ever acknowledged it! We literately had to cut our trip short because we didn’t want to stay there! Don’t waste your money staying here!

I liked design of hotel. I didn’t like how small the gym was

I love that the room did not have carpet and extra clean towels and travel needs such as toothbrush, clean towels and iron located in hallway locker for guests. The only thing I did not like was the stinky carpet smell near 5th floor elevator. Carpet needs to be deep cleaned or removed. It smelled really bad.

Great location! Our balcony was overlooking the ocean and on the otherside was shopping and eating making it very convenient. The lobby offers so much! Games, fun drinks, a perfect place to hang out... an overall good place to stay!

This hotel was fine. No frills but clean and in a great location. Good luck getting served at the bar but all the other staff were great. Would go again.

Room was very smartly laid out. Great view of the city and beach sides. Overall great place and would happily book here again.

We experienced cigarette smoke in our hotel room constantly during our stay staff was unhelpful. We brought the cigarette smoke to the staff attention on multiple occasions. Staff did not rectify the problem or compensate us. Staff did not enforce the non-smoking policy and we had to suffer. Otherwise this would have been an ok place to stay.

Pros: great location and great view. Ocean-front balcony was super nice! Bed was comfy. The pool was big and had cool features, and there were a lot of games/activities on the grounds. (Corn hole, standing shuffleboard, etc.). The small diner (not free) was tasty as well. Cons: my husband saw some dark hair in the bathroom, the sink had a weird drain (you have to stick your finger in the dirty water and press it down to open the drain). The staff sent us to a 7-11 that was not close and not in the best area. A few hours later we were walking on the boardwalk and saw a hotel right next door with a convenience store! Hallways didn’t feel super clean, but first floor common areas were nice. There was a strong smell of gas by the pool, which we reported. I guess they sorted it out. Bar is good for drinks but the food is meh.

Only reason im writing this is because they had no microwaves in any of the hotel room (none) they had 1 in the whole hotel it was downstairs and it was nasty looked like it never been cleaned and I heard that some of the rooms don't even have a refrigerator so you cant keep your stuff cold while on vacation

Such a nice hotel!

Excellent trip and stay. This was our second time staying at this property wondering if Stay One was too good to be true. Our second trip was even better than the first!

Was forced into a room we did not book. It was not fully cleaned. Found dirty coffee cups, stepped on an tac. And had to squeeze into a tiny room that didn’t have an ocean view when we paid for an ocean view with balcony. Staff were rude and didn’t make it right at all. Would never stay here again.

Very nice place to stay

When booking there was no mention of a daily $50.00 fee to be charged for incidentals, like valet parking which makes sense. Usually a cc is taken.

Great time and great location!
