Ramada by Wyndham Virginia Beach

I was fine with everything except for the lack of hot water

So apparently there are two ramadas one on the ocean side and one on the other side of Atlantic. That's the one we stayed in. Amenities are listed. Include breakfast. Apparently they rely on the larger Ramada which is being renovated for this benefit and none was available. Apparently the water heater is on the other side of the complex and it takes nearly 30 minutes to get hot water to take a shower. Both ice machines were broken. The breezeway constantly smelled of stale marijuana. The staff was polite but unsympathetic and for the price I expected much much better. Overall, incredibly disappointed. Will never use this hotel again. Literally checked out early as the staff was unwilling to accommodate anything and basically told me the room was being used so too bad. Too much a night for no amenities. This was unacceptable. Checked out early and went next door to breeze inn which is a budget motel. It was clean and it was less than half the price and the ice machine and the hot water worked. I appreciate the staff was friendly but basically useless.

it was okay for the 1day we stayed there. there was a family next door who was living in the motel room so it was not quiet. our room was clean but looked run down.

Room was dirty and the beds were horrible

I liked how the board walk was close. The hotel over booked, put my group in a smaller room not all of us could fit and the staff members couldn’t do anything about it. I asked for a manager to call me and didn’t I had to reach out myself to talk about what happened since there was no manager on site. Took over an hour to give us extra pillows and blankets since they down graded us from the room I originally selected. The phone in the room did not work. There was mold all over the shower and in the toilet. Stains everywhere and the toilet plunger was sitting in the room near the bed.

Inside the room do not have trash can. Room carpet was not cleaned.Only one towel in the bathroom. Bed sheets are dirty. Very poor.receptionist lady was on bad mood. Behave was super bad. Like we are going to stay free. Shower was not ok.

It was good because of the completely easy walk to the beach & shops/ restaurant around. My room came without a fridge when told there was one. Basically just a sheet as a blanket, dirty bathroom, 1 half used roll of toilet paper. Location was great though, just okay room it did the job.

Old motel but knows what I was gettin for the price.

The location The misrepresentation of rooms on the website. The run down motel that was purchased across the street and called a Ramada property, partial ocean suite. The outdated furniture in all rooms. The cleanliness of the rooms, or lack there of.

Here is my honest opinion on this property: we booked here as a cheaper rated room because we had just spent a week in VA Beach in July. Being the end of summer, but the days booked were during one of the busiest times for the area, the property exceeded my expectations. I looked at reviews from previous customers and took that into consideration, planning ahead. The biggest concern from them was lack of towels per room and dirty bedding. The room we stayed in had 2 towel sets and clean bedding. I always take extra precautions by bringing my own everything due to being hyper sensitive as far as skin allergies, but I was ok. I did have to clean the tub (and bathroom), as it wasn't cleaned to my liking, but didn't report it nor did it affect my stay. The room was clean, they did have an issue with towels for the guest, but were washing and dispersing towels up until midnight which wasn't an issue for us. As customers had issues, they dispatched their employees to take care of it immediately from what I saw during check-in. I like their pre-check in and out options. It made it a smooth process. The office is across the street as an fyi. The only complaint I have is the lack of working ice-machines throughout both properties. There are two for both places on the 6th and 7th floor in the main building. But other than that, I had no complaints.

It was run down needs up dating they were letting everything slide understand it was closing after season if I would have known they were doing that I would have stayed somewhere else one of the rooms I rented the guess was move 3 times to get a working room another one of the rooms had no Mini fridge the phone in my room didn’t work I spent a lot of money there I rented 5 rooms I was not pleased with the hotel

It was a bad experience. The front desk stuff members were unprofessional.

The rooms were filthy dirty carpets water damage outdated and broken furniture tv's and lights not working didn't stay requested a refund immediately and booked at another hotel

The only thing is good about it is that location is near the beach
