Nos encantó. El restaurante riquísimo.

The hotel is beautiful! We were so excited to receive an afternoon surprise of cookies, water and slippers! The bar is nice too! We asked the person at the front desk which way to walk to get to the silos and she said, Your guess is as good as mine”. We obviously could have used our phones for navigation, but thought we could just ask for directions and that seemed like an odd response.

Best hotel in Waco!

Beautifully designed and thoughtfully decorated with excellent cleanliness. Friendly and helpful staff. Love the library downstairs.

Overall we had a wonderful stay at 1928. The ambience of the hotel and room were amazing. We enjoyed the small details of the room and restroom such as dimmable lights and slippers. The curtains allowed us a restful stay. I think the opportunity for growth would be in the hotel staff. We were not greeted with a warm welcome or given any information about the hotel in general. The coffee shop was unattended several times we stopped in as well as the gift shop. Anyhow, we would return in the future and hope a few tweaks would turn this into a five star experience.

1928 is as beautiful as you would expect. Amazing finishes and excellent service make it well worth the price. Walking distance to pretty much everything downtown and you could spend a weekend just enjoying everything the hotel has to offer. We’ll be back!

Lovely experience overall

Beautiful property! It's a nice hotel, but extremely overpriced! To make matters worse everything is extra, even something as simple as a bottle of water is not included. There's also no coffee machine in the rooms, which is something that's fairly standard in a hotel nowadays. Instead, you get instant coffee packets, which are more common in 3rd world countries, than a $500 per might hotel room. It's a beautiful property, but definitely not a good value and not worth the price!

The employees! The hotel's employees at the front desk, the bar and the restaurants plus the valet guys are a tremendous asset to the hotel's operation and success. We give each employee that we encountered during our stay a super 10!!!

definitely a must-do for a trip to Waco. a return to form for a once bustling and lavish city and reminiscent of a time when Americana was a way of life.
-
Great hotel and restaurants. The towels could use an upgrade
-
Free parking lot My booking.com reservation wasn't in the hotel's computer
-
Beautiful property and the rooms are gorgeous. Had surprise turn down service and they even left fresh cookies! Minor issues with hair being found on the bathroom counter tops and the sheets having multiple holes.
-
Wonderful BU grad week! All staff was amazing
-
The story behind it and very wee done finishes
-
Nice room and friendly staff. Comfortable and quiet.

Beautiful property and well maintain. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Rooftop restaurant was amazing. We have a small dog and pets are welcome at this hotel and in and around the facility. Can’t say enough good stuff about this place.

The restaurant and bar were delicious. The quality of towels and paper products were not as expected. I found it on the cheaper end for such an expensive hotel. A tad disappointed the bath towels were thin and harsh cotton. The toilet paper also was possibly 2 ply but harsh to the skin too. I think these area need to be reviewed and upgraded.

We had the butternut squash which was bland, and offered no flavor. The kale salad was lacking any flavor except a lettuce taste. I certainly did not feel welcomed. Our dinning time was unimpressionable. Our room was gorgeous and the snacks/drinks were delightful. The television was our biggest concern. No matter what channel we turned to, there was a continuous glitch making the words of the show delayed with its actions. I would think a better quality television or, at least the opportunity to log into our own streaming platform, would be available for the price that we had to pay. We considered ordering room service, but refrained due to a 20% gratuity plus a $5 additional charge. That seemed a bit extreme. When checking out my vehicle with the valet, it would have been nice to have been given a chance to tip through the app. I did not have cash to give him.
