Great location. Only complaint is I was advised parking was one price and I was charged a much higher price

The room was comfortable and the staff is amazing, but there aren't really amenities or extras. There is no food or bar and the closest restaurants are a block away. It is in biz/residential area, but there is not as much as you would expect for a large city like DC. The hotel is older, but clean. As a female solo traveler I would have liked to know that there was nothing on the property. I had to buy a single bottle of water. I want to reiterate, the staff was super friendly and helpful and the bed was comfortable. Also you can't stream netflix, prime or anything because the TVs are older.

This is an old property in need of a lot of work, but the people are nice and the location is excellent.

Staff was really nice & helpful

The front desk staff was exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. They were always happy to assist us and made us feel very well taken care of. The continental breakfast is simple and provides the essentials, although the variety of options is somewhat limited. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return. The great location, friendly staff, and comfortable atmosphere made our visit very enjoyable!

Elevated feeling at a good price.

Clean rooms, cozy space, and they use L’Occitane bath products! Great for my night stay in DC! Would stay here again

The rooms are spacious and clean. The amenities in the room are also very helpful such as the kitchenette and bikes. The breakfast was delicious and good variety. The location is perfect with short walk to Metro and the Capital. Great hotel!

Our recent stay at the Capital Hotel was fantastic. The location was perfect, making it super easy to get around town. We loved using the hotel’s complimentary bikes to head down to the museums! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel genuinely welcomed from the moment we arrived. To top it off, the morning breakfast was excellent! I highly recommend the Capital Hotel as a wonderful place to stay.

Very friendly and efficient staff.

The reason to stay here is the kindness of valet staff, manager and convenient location. After having on site staff deny specials and rates advertised on website I ended up booking third party for better rates. Liked having kitchen set up in room. Overhead light wouldn’t turn off at wall switch evidently prior guests must have stolen some gizmo, per staff. Hot water controls on tub were reversed, again had to get staff involved. So management needs to inspect rooms before booking to ensure proper function.

Would stay again!

The staff was extraordinary! They were kind, helpful, and warm. This includes everyone from the front desk to the breakfast staff. The room was big and sunny, we had a cute DC row-house view, and the neighborhood felt safe. The beds/pillows were comfortable, the linens felt clean and new, and the room was large. We had 2 queen beds, a couch, a dresser with a large tv, desk, table/chairs, and a full kitchen. Our only concern was that the bathroom door didn’t shut properly, but it was fine because you entered the bathroom through the walk in closet—we just shut that door. This hotel was a great find overall—we will be back.
