Eurostars Saint Gregory Dupont Circle Georgetown

Nice spot- stayed here during a business trip. pros: comfy beds good pillows, lots of different lighting options, decent water pressure and a Mini fridge in the room and the temperature was comfortable. Cons: I was confused about the breakfast (it comes with some stay and not others but it was never offered as an option at check in and no explanation). Not sure what the extra $70 “resort” fee is for as I don’t believe there are any “resort” style amenities.I had to hunt down the ice machine (it’s on the 2nd floor btw). Could use a little spot to purchase snacks/soda/water, etc… since there’s no room service. Wanted to order from the restaurant downstairs but there were no menus or contacts in the room so I ordered door dash. Overall, I had a good stay, there’s just a few details and some clarification from the staff at check in, that I believe would have made it better.

The hotel was cleaned alright, but the facilities/rooms are not well maintained and although the staff was nice, they were not helpful. The air conditioning wasn’t working on our room (see picture: the AC unit wasn’t even installed properly) so we told front desk at around 5pm. At 2 am, it was still NOT working (on the middle of a heat wave). The front desk, different staff by now, told me to wait for 20mins. I’m not sure why because they didn’t have anyone to fix it. We ask for another room, but they said they didn’t have other rooms. As it got worse, over 85 degrees, we volunteered to sleep on the lobby because it was so hot in our room. Suddenly, there were 3 other rooms to pick from. Two of the rooms had broken door locks so we couldn’t use them. The 3rd room AC wasn’t working either but at least the fan was on, so it was a little cooler at 78, so we switched rooms. While we waited for over an hour in the lobby, we listened to other guests having similar issues: broken this, missing that, etc. We paid premium for this hotel for a terrible night. Also, we pre-paid in full, but the front desk charged us an additional money for the use of amenities (gym and pool) regardless of we using them. We are definitely not coming back nor we would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The front desk staff was very helpful with an early check in and a special room request. I appreciate their caring and kindness during our stay!

The hotel was in a great a location, a short walk to many sights, restaurants, and cafes. The bed was comfortable, and the room was incredibly spacious. Staff were also accommodating and friendly. Overall, a great value for money!

Balcony was great Amenities were lacking

The air-conditioning was very loud. There is no central airflow. The indoor unit is very loud, it is very difficult to sleep next to it. Also we were on the top floor near the elevator, it was very noisy, there was constant noise.

Location is good. Staff were awful, treating extremely poorly, no communication from management

The rooms facing the main street are extremely noisy. Moreover, the air conditioning units are in poor shape, making loud sounds because of their age. Their placement is also not ideal, being positioned behind the head, which can cause discomfort. The breakfast offerings are very limited, with no cheese, yogurt, or whole fruits, making for a poor breakfast overall.

Unfortunately we had an issue with the air conditioning unit which meant the room was a lot warmer than would have been preferred.

Everything was great and I would really recommend this hotel. Staff was nice and the location is great. We walked to the White house but the Subway was also nearby. -

Property is clean but well overdue for updates. The room was old and dated. It had a broken bathroom vanity and our AC was barely working. AC required multiple resets to get it to blow cold air, it was extremely loud when it turned on, and required to be reset multiple times throughout our 3 nights there. When informed of the poorly working AC, staff offered very minimal solutions. No on was on site to fix the issue, no room change offered and no compensation offered. No follow up was done with us to ensure that the issue had been fixed after we informed them we were able to reset our AC ourselves. Would definitely not stay again.

Beautiful from the moment you walk in to the elevators and rooms. The parking / valet seems high. Said $60 online and then was $70 at check in.
