Hilton Garden Inn Washington DC/Georgetown Area

Overall, everything was good. As it should be. We really had no major issues. I did find the A/C loud, and since we travelled as a family of 4, I was sleeping directly in front of it and it was blowing quite heavily so I had to make sure I was fully tucking under the covers all night. I’m sure the other sleepers weren’t bothered by it. The pool was a nice thing to have, especially since it’s so humid in DC and walking a lot made it a nice perk but it is small. Location was good. About a 15 minute walk into Georgetown which is quite a nice place for shops and restaurants. It’s a bit further to walk downtown, 45-60 minutes on average. The only other thing I could say was that parking was an issue. We chose this hotel mostly because it touted ev charging on site for our car. When we got there, their lot was full and also told it was $60/ day valet option only. No self park. We had to navigate the area in our own and find a place to leave our car. The public lot down the street charged us $160 for less than 3 days. Not impressed with that hefty and unexpected fee. We would’ve been better off parking at the hotel that promised on site parking.

Location. Fridge was broken. I left my mouthguard/case in the bathroom. Emailed the head of housekeeping at the suggestion of the front desk but never heard back from Yasmin.

Excellent location. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was a bit soft but comfortable. Well-equipped—includes a microwave, small fridge, coffee maker, and iron. Plenty of power outlets. The room lighting was inadequate. The bathroom lacked a holder or cup for toothbrushes. The sink faucets were leaking, causing water to constantly pool on the countertop. At night, you could hear the toilet flushing in the neighboring room. Breakfast is not included in the price. Breakfast vouchers can only be purchased when booking the room; without a voucher, breakfast is significantly more expensive.

Very convenient to get to. The restaurant is excellent and attached to the lobby. The neighborhood is very walkable as well. I had booked a high floor room and was given a lower floor.

Location was convenient The room got hot at night due to the thermostat having a motion sensor so the ac does not cool consistently unless there is movement which is not often when you're sleeping. They also charge 60 dollars a night for valet parking which is compatible with other hotels.

Don’t rely on the execution of requests. We had an early departure and neither the wake up call nor the car was ready from valet when requested the night before. Front desk didn’t pick up the phone until after several attempts.

In the Hilton Garden Inn in New York, we also had available USB plugs (useful for people without the power adapters).

The staff was excellent. They handled challenges well. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Room had everything we needed. The parking lot was full upon arrival. Our first room had a shower that was extremely loud and didn't drain. It took a while for someone to look at it and his suggestion was to use it on all the way cold or all the way hot. That is not something I am going to do. They ended up changing our room and that room was fine.

Staff was super friendly and helpful. Also, this hotel is right next door to an incredible restaurant.

Everything was great. For the price they charge, a simple breakfast would be great too.

Good location by Metro and walking distance from major sites. Rooms are sizable and in good standard. AC was noisy, windows don’t open so you need to have AC all time on.
