Booked a suite. Room had no ac and they didn’t switch rooms for me. Their answer was to give me a fan. I expected more from a higher end/more expensive hotel.
-
Drinks way overpriced.
-
Location was very convenient to the NMAAHC which I was invited to attend an event.
-
The hotel staff was attentive and helpful and the room was spacious. However, closet and drawer space was minimal and the bathroom sink was a bar sink! Given these issues, I would still stay there again and highly recommend the hotel.

On 4th of July, it was hard to find a seat in lobby to get a hamburger - all was self service and lobby was a mess - piles of dirty dishes everywhere. Otherwise, the old building was beautiful, if extemely tiny room. Experience in the Vue on the 3rd was exceptional- food and service great! And overall, staff was very polite and helpful.
-
Rooms was very nice but the bathroom was an odd setup with the shower showing thru to bedroom and door on WC only. Vue, the rooftop restaurant and bar, was wonderful… breathtaking views of Washington monument. Location was fantastic and central to everything. Would definitely stay here again.
-
The history and the interior finishes were great. The rooftop looked amazing but it was inaccessible. The bathroom was like something from an RV … definitely not a 5 star hotel. We would not stay here again.
-
They are the best! Love this hotel so much and the staff. And best burgers and truffle fries ever! I had a suite and it was gorgeous! Tons of amenities and great view of Washington Monument! Will be back!

Location was great

Only thing is no door to bathroom lacks privacy. Vue rooftop restaurant is amazing but ask price of drink before you order because my Mojito was $30. I have never paid that much in any city ever in my life. I didn’t argue but just a reminder.

No microwave and the room service charge is expensive

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Washington. Great service and staff there. Did I mention awesome rooftop view?
-
It is decorated very tastefully

One of the sinks had very low water pressure & the coffee maker was not functioning properly. I tried escalating the coffee maker issue, but it was not resolved. However, those are the only issues I encountered during my stay, the staff was otherwise very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, I would still stay here again and again.
-
The front staff and the staff at the front door was extremely friendly and helpful. Getting used to the elevators took some doing but was fine after I learned how to use it. I did not appreciate not knowing that the entrance on 15th Street was not the main entrance given that the address for the GPS was on 15th. That is where I was dropped off and had to push my luggage around to the other entrance.
-
It was situated opposite the US Treasury and the President’s Park with great views and central to all attractions. The room was spacious and beds comfortable The bathroom was open plan, except for the toilet so if you came out of the shower naked and there was someone at the the door it would have been embarrassing.

Staff was wonderful

When I first arrived, the woman who checked me in at 2 AM was very rude. I asked for a bottle of water at reception because they were always very generous with bottles of water in the past, and she replied that I had two complimentary bottles in my room. I asked "oh, you don't keep water down here anymore?" She replied, "we do but you have two complimentary bottles in your room." She would not give me one after my two delayed flights and Uber from Dulles. In fairness, she is the only rude staff member I experienced during my three stays at this hotel over the last one and a half years.

I did have a suite so the room was perfect, housekeeping did not bother us for cleaning, we slept in til 10:30 and left the room around 11:30. Drinks are pricey even with the $15 voucher. I have no complaints and maot places were within walking distance or a short Uber ride. Taxis were also everywhere

Great all around
